There again, Yeshua is talking about the laws of the Pharisees, NOT the commandments of the Almighty, which he kept and never broke.
He is clearly talking ‘about the Law’ .....
Jesus told them repeatedly that they kept.... ‘the letter of the law’... but ‘lost’ the spirit... they made a show of loving God with their public prayers etc....
“Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, saying:
.... “The scribes and the Pharisees sit ‘in Moses seat’ (Law)..... Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do”. Matt 23:1-5
Peter also accused the Jewish leaders when he said...
” Now therefore.. why do you test God by putting ‘a yoke’ (bondage) on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?” ....Acts:15:11-10
Jesus continually reinforced his accusations against ‘their unwillingness to maintain a consistency between their tradition and ‘the written law’.... “They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”..Matt:15:14
When you place the law...such as following certain dates times etc...on the shoulders of Christians it’s placing them back under bondage to those requirements....Jesus fulfilled these entirely...so if you follow the commandments of God then you are in bound to keep the entire Law and Gods commandments. Our walk with Him is a walk of faith,...not under the law....
And by the way..... Moses ‘broke’ the ten commandments the first time around when he smashed the tablets at the foot of Mt. Siani and a second set Moses had to ‘hewn out of stone’ rather than as God did that the first time around...
..At that time the Lord said to me (Moses),
Hew ‘for yourself’ two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to Me on the mountain and make yourself an ark of wood. ....And I [God] will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, ‘which you broke’; and you shall put them in the ark.
God never told Moses to break them...he did this on his own..so they were literally broken before the people ever got them.
