"...go, and sin no more."
You cannot not sin this side of heaven...though when we come to Christ we come to Christ habitual sin is diminished...the ‘power of sin’ is broken...we don’t have to do those things we once did.
That verse..’go and sin no more’...is especially significant in that we now have a choice not to...the power of sin is broken. Habitual sin need not be so anymore for we have the Spirit of Christ within us to overcome.
Does that mean a liar will never lie again...no...it does mean when he does he has the Lord’s forgiveness when He seeks it...”If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins”,...even if we are not always faithful to Him.... HE always brings us back to Himself..so Great is His love toward us.
Sins that you commit after you’re saved are generally known as sins of the fleshly nature... which we do not put off until we go with Him.... They die with the flesh...
If we could be sinless here then we’d never die a earthly death...for the result of sin is death..and all men die earthly deaths....
