Israel PM Netanyahu: US, France, UK Allowed The Holocaust

Jerusalem, Israel --- June 15, 2013 Part of the following was communicated by the Israel Prime Minister's Office to the Israel News Agency.
Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, made the following remarks on Thursday at the dedication ceremony for the permanent pavilion at Block 27 at Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp.
"The leaders of the Allies (UK, US, France) knew about the Holocaust in real time. They understood exactly what was happening in the death camps. They were asked to act, they could have acted, and they did not. To we Jews the lesson is clear. We must not be complacent in the face of threats of annihilation. We must not bury our heads in the sand or allow others to do the work for us.
From here, the place that attests to the desire to destroy us, I, the Prime Minister of Israel, the state of the Jewish People, say to all the nations of the world: The State of Israel will do whatever is necessary to prevent another holocaust."
Netanyahu made the comments as other Israeli government ministers, Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bogdan Zdrojewski, Director of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum Piotr Cywinski, Chairman of the Yad Vashem Directorate and exhibition curator Avner Shalev, Chairman of the Yad Vashem Council Rabbi Israel Meir Lau and Holocaust survivors looked on.
A definition of "Holocaust Shoah" is written on the wall of the exhibition foyer. As the visitor leaves the entrance, and enters this hallway in Auschwitz-Birkenau, the senses are suffused with the words and melody of prayer - a Jewish and universal expression of the human spirit. Upon entering the adjoining space, visitors are engulfed in an enveloping 360-degree cinematic montage of original footage of Jewish life between the two world wars. Following this sweeping panorama, visitors are confronted with the central tenets of Nazi German racist ideology, the main motivation behind the Germans' imperative of annihilating the Jewish people.
Netanyahu stated that the "so-called" Iranian presidential election will "change nothing" in the Islamic republic's quest for nuclear weapons and that the regime will continue to pursue a bomb aimed at destroying Israel.
"This is a regime that is building nuclear weapons with the expressed purpose to annihilate Israel's 6 million Jews," Netanyahu said, alluding to the number of Jews killed by the Nazis during World War II. "We will not allow this to happen. We will never allow another Holocaust."
I don’t disagree, but I would state that FDR and his Nazi-sympathetic opinion did most of the enabling. Much of the anti-Nazi people that tried to spread the word in the US were shut down.
Alas unfortunately he’s right.
Most Jews vote Democratic, against their material interest, partly because theyre worried about evangelicals establishing a Christian nation, but also because of a history lesson passed on from parents to children: Franklin Roosevelt purportedly stood up for Jews against reactionary interests. Barack Obamas anti-Israel position has shaken some of that support, and if the story told in Rafael Medoffs FDR and the Holocaust: A Breach of Faith (David S. Wyman Institute, 2013) gets out, Democrats will receive fewer legacy votes.
Medoff details Roosevelts disparaging remarks about Jews and includes previously unpublished interviews with Jewish leaders who say Roosevelt hoodwinked them and didnt lift a finger to help Jewish refugees from Hitler. Had the United States allowed in escapees instead of sending them back to Europe, or had FDR pressured Great Britain to allow refugees to settle in what is now Israel, many lives could have been saved. Even as late as 1944, U.S. action could have helped the 400,000 Jews of Hungary, most of whom then died at Auschwitz.

I would not disagree.
Take it up with Roosevelt and the rest of the socialists/commies he surrounded himself with.
The worst of that bunch (the so-called "Brain" Trust) was the evil Frances Perkins, who hated Jews as much she loved labor thugs and the minimum wage. She, as much as anyone in the Franklin Diablo Roosevelt dictatorship, is responsible for setting the stage for the likes of Hussein Obama.
“....partly because theyre worried about evangelicals establishing a Christian nation....”
.
But they’re not worried about their fellow muslim democrats establishing a sharia nation?
There is something BASICALLY screwed up in their thinking.
A little unfair. France was flattened as soon as the war broke out. What could they have done? Britain struggled to hold on to what it had throughout. And the US population at that time was strongly against military action, so a war before Pearl Harbor would have been one against our will. No wonder, since the New York Times covered up the Holocaust so nobody knew what was going on in Nazi Germany. All we knew about Hitler was that he was a TIME icon.
France participated, but they were under the hammer at the time. The U.K. did not act, but they were desperately fighting against the threat of a German invasion.
I would agree that FDR was the chief culprit. He knew damned well what was going on, but he refused to admit Jewish refugees and did nothing to defend them or call Hitler to account. He was the one who was in a position to do something. But he was anti-Semitic.
The lefties and the Jews hate to admit it, of course. FDR is their hero. So they refuse to talk about it.
I’m surprised that Netanyahu raised this issue. I suspect that it is intended as a jab in the direction of Obama and his pals, who likewise cannot be counted on to defend Israel.
And if the Hungarian Jewish “leadership” hadn’t sold out its own people - after having been warned by Rudi Vrba after his heroic escape from Auschwitz - instead they got their own families to safety and let everyone else be exterminated - the Jews of Hungary, if informed, could have resisted.
If “Jewish leadership” won’t save their own brethren, how can more be expected or demanded from anti-Semitic politicians?
FDR and the unions turned back refuge ships from Germany wanting to embark in the US. The refugees of course died when the got back. FDR in our family is anathema.
Until the allies had a foothold on the continent after D-Day, what could they have done?
We sure as hell didn’t do much to stop it.
I agree
The US refused the immigration of millions of Jews before it began.
The Germans loved their leader (Hitler) and so did Time Magazine.
Obama has taken his big stroke of arming militant Muslim terrorests in Seria; that places the US at odds with YEHOVA, and we will pay dearly for that.
Obama is indwelt by Satan!
To we Jews the lesson is clear. We must not be complacent in the face of threats of annihilation. We must not bury our heads in the sand or allow others to do the work for us.
From here, the place that attests to the desire to destroy us, I, the Prime Minister of Israel, the state of the Jewish People, say to all the nations of the world: The State of Israel will do whatever is necessary to prevent another holocaust.”
Hear oh Mullahs, hear Imams, the voice of the Jewish
people. Ams Israel Chai!
