This is beautiful, Rubio states he will never vote for amnesty in this little known interview until now. The article is even more telling. Luckily for us, he was very specific about what amnesty is.
Thats why I asked my Congressman if he would vote for amnesty and then I asked him what is his definition of amnesty on tape.

But in a little seen video filmed during his Senate campaign, Rubio claimed, I will never support never have and never will support any effort to grant blanket, legalization, amnesty to folks who have entered or stayed in this country illegally.

"I'll never support amnesty"
However you may define Conservatism, every component is under attack by a substantial component of the Republican party.
More Clintonion parsing.
Rubio won’t support amnesty.
But he does support a few other things:
- Forgiveness of illegal aliens for breaking our immigration laws
- A way for them to stay in the US
- A way for them to jump to the head of the line
- A way for them to become citizens.
But it’s not really “amnesty” and it’s not really “a pathway to citizenship”.
I wish WND would devote some efforts into exposing what Americans living in Mexico contend with living as 2nd class citizens.
When is the treatment of American citizens in Mexico and their rights vs US treatment of Mexicans going to be an issue when we discuss amnesty ?
This is a question: Should Mexican citizens when in the US be given the same rights American citizens are given while in Mexico? This has yet to appear on any US legislator’s questionaire from either chamber....ASK YOUR FEDERAL LEGISLATORS WHY IT HASN’T
What makes it necessary for US to subjugate our sovereignty because of available cheap labor ?
Ever hear of reciprocal aggrements ? These are arranged to protect the rights of American citizens working or living in other countries.
Why is it when it comes to citizens of other countries we are required to offer them the same privledges as we do to US citizens? But when it comes to US citizens who get in trouble or attempt to do business in other countries they do not get the same treatment their citizens get.
Americans cant own coast land in Mexico. And get no title to it elsewhere. If they run out of cash theyll get unceremoniously sent back or put in jail untill some relative comes up with the fresh. Thats just for starters as for granting them voting privledges yea lets give Mexican citizens that right when American citizens vote in their elections .
Those of us in Florida who were paying attention knew Rubio was a stalking horse for universal amnesty long before he was elected to the US Senate.
Even now, with Rubio having shown all of his amnesty cards, Limbaugh’s lips are still glued to Rubio’s backside.
Odungo needs dummies to point his finger at........
As they like to say on the left, his position is evolving. Which side is he on again?
The really pathetic part is not that Rubio got away with it, but that his predecessor Mel Martinez used the SAME "I'm 100% against amnesty" talking point in 2004 and was likewise portrayed as the "true conservative" GOP primary candidate by numerous FL freepers, regardless of his previous record in office.
You think after the fallout in 2006, they would have wised up in 2010 and not fallen for it AGAIN. Nope. They STILL accepted whatever campaign promises their Senate candidates take at face value, and didn't bother to vet their Senate candidates six years later, either.
In 2010, though, the only opponents left running against Rubio turned out to be non-viable jokes ("Dr. Escoffery III", etc.) All the more reason it was important to vet this guy at the START of the campaign, BEFORE the tea party anointed him as the "True conservative" choice to take on Charlie Crist.
Shades of that idiot Mourdock falling for the same trick that destroyed Todd Akin, after the fallout had happened and he SHOULD have known better when the media asks GOP candidates about rape.
At this rate, Jeb Bush will find a third "true conservative" Cuban-American candidate who is "absolutely against amnesty" in 2016, and FL freepers will beating down the door to back the guy the moment he announces, swearing up and down that he is absolutely NOTHING like his predecessor.
WAS there anything in his record that suggested he would support amnesty? Could just be a flip flop.
I’ll have to give Marco 7 Pinnochio’s for that one.
I will reserve judgment on Marco Rubio’s stance on amnesty for illegal aliens when his bill comes out. If it includes amnesty, I'll be sorely disappointed, just as I'm disappointed with other erstwhile conservative stalwarts who have joined the amnesty and same-sex-marriage trains because they think it's smart politics to do so (most of whom, BTW, are not Cuban-American). Apparently the 2012 election results have turned a bunch of conservatives into wussies.
Rubio was the Speaker of the FL House, when Jeb was Governor. When Jeb voiced support for in state tuition for illegals, FL House Speaker Rubio followed suit. I’m not surprised at all with the GOPe making Rubio the face of immigration reform.
“bunch of conservatives into wussies”
Rubio was a difference case, to this day I'm not sure how good or how bad he was in his past offices. It was hard to research since he was a local and state official with a thin paper trail. That was the biggest problem, he was difficult to research and his fanboys had zero interest in doing so. The mindset with many tea party people (not just Floridians) is to IMMEDIATELY sign up to endorse whatever candidate shows up on the scene out of nowhere and screams the loudest that he or she is our savior. This has come back to bite us in the butt numerous times. The one legit criticism of Rubio was that he did absolutely nothing with the six bills to crack down on illegal immigration when was Florida GOP Speaker, but Rubio had a fair answer to that, in that none of the other GOP leaders in the FL House or Senate took action on them either.
>> But you won't be fooled, because you know that all Cuban-American Republicans are secretly pro-amnesty. <<
I don't think anyone would make a ludicrous claim that every single Cuban-American Republican is secretly pro-amnesty. (Ted Cruz, for example, is Cuban-American and there's never been any question his record is solid, and he's been one of the few "tea party" candidates who actually DID live up to the hype)
However, I DO think it's safe to say that all of the "rising conservative stars" from Florida who are being pushed hard in the primary by the pro-amnesty Bush brothers (George W. & Jeb) are not the "Anti-amnesty" candidates they claim to be. Martinez, Rubio, and if Jebby finds a third "anti-amnesty" rising star from Florida in 2016, I'd bet money they guy isn't one. Makes as much sense as believing Obama has recruited an "anti-Obamacare" candidate from Illinois simple because the candidate says he's "100% against Obamacare". Tsk tsk, AuH2ORepublican. Freepers SHOULD know better.
Too much hedging. Cruz seems to be the only one honest enough to call it amnesty.
Not good news yesterday about who Rubio and the gang of 8 are lined up with....cheap labor, Microsoft & Muslim Lobbyist Grover Norquist.

The GOPe has done its best to kill the conservative wing.
And cant figure out why they keep losing.
