"Under God" Removed By Obama During Inaguration Pledge

Whoops. I'm sure the President just made a mistake and the words "under God" just happened to be missing in the pledge of allegiance.

During the pledge of allegiance during the inauguration yesterday, the words "under God" were removed by the President.

Introducing the President, Myrlie Evers-Williams read a flowery version of the pledge:

“We now stand beneath the shadow of the nation’s capital, who’s golden dome reflects the unity and democracy of one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all...”

Of course this isn't the first time that the Democratic party has removed God from their speeches. During the Democratic National Convention, the left bumbled when they removed all mentions of Jerusalem and God from their platform.

In fact, Thomas Jefferson had made the following interesting remark about how citizens should regard the states versus the nation.

I knew Army and F that we would reach this point, but never in my life time.
My mother in the mid ‘50s, sat me down when I was just a kid, when my siblings where asleep (they were younger than me) and relayed what she saw for the future.
She died when I was eleven, I was so very sad, now I realize she was right about everything and almost glad she did not live to see what she fear come about her beloved America.
Sometimes, I want to sit with my own grand-kids now and tell them even more.........fortunately my only daughter is preparing them.
It saddens me that kids can not just be kids, seriously I have a desire to prepare my young grand-kids for a war both spiritually and actual is coming in their lifetimes.

OK, if his story is true things begin to make sense. We all pretty much knew that O is a puppet of someone. It’s simply amazes me how blind our politicians are. One has to wonder if they are all in on it.

A little historical insight

I remember doing the arm extended palm up salute to the flag while reciting the pledge of allegiance at my Catholic grammar school, Immaculate Conception, in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. . At that time the phrase “under God” was not included. Once WWII started the practice of extending the arm was discontinued.

I mention the location of the school/parrish because there were several parrishes spread throughout the city with the same name. The one I mentioned and attended organized by Catholic German immigrants sadly no longer exists Cardinal Bernadine closed the parrish shortly after it celebrated its centenary.

Actually, when I learned it “under God” wasn’t in it. (Not to date myself or anything.) I still stumble a bit when I get there. Not that I have a problem with it. I think it was either ‘54 or ‘56 when it was placed in.
