I know I probably shouldnt have done it especially because yesterday was a snowy day with the temperature here in Colorado dipping well below freezing but on a whim I took all my guns and ammunition out in a small skiff on one of the nearby lakes and, sad to say, the boat capsized when I stupidly tried to prove to myself that I could do it Gangnam style, even in an inherently unbalanced situation, while also tending to a fishing pole.
All my firearms and my ammo stockpile is now, as a consequence, sleeping with the fishes.
Just so you know. All you who are reading here. And no, I have no plans to replace them at this point. Because children.
Well
I lost all of mine in an out house accident. If someone wants them -——.
You know, I had the EXACT SAME thing happen to me just this last Monday. Don’t know what I’ll do now that all my guns and ammo and accessories are completely gone and utterly unrecoverable.
If you lose your dangerous, thinking guns due to a boat accident, you should check the water daily, looking for shot, dead, fish. Just because the thinking guns are under water, they may still decide to shoot and kill fish. Of course, you may eat the fish - but STAY OUT OF THE WATER.
You think that’s bad, just wait until that possum guy finds this thread.
OBVIOUSLY you filed a police report, since without it, that event never happened - at least as far as the Men in Black are concerned.
...of course filling out a false police report is a felony (just a reminder...no implication).
LOL! You were smart to ‘document’ that here on FR.
Thats why you have more than one with some hidden away so the tyrants cant get them all.
Ive often heard that with such a traumatic event, people forget to do such things.
Why would you need to file a police report? There was no criminal activity involved.
” stupidly tried to prove to myself that I could do it Gangnam style”
That’s redundant....
geez...mine too!!
it must be an epidemic
I suspect a conspiracy
Funny thing is take a look at some of the bystanders around a typical gunshow with people carrying them in and out some of them will act like that can happen.
Yeah, good luck with that. In the summertime, it's as hard to keep me out of the water as it is to keep pants on me. I still bring crawdads home when I find them.
On a serious note, you do bring up a good point. My normal use pistol resides between computer A and computer 2 most of the time, and has never shot any human. With or without my assistance. It has helped me to establish that this property and person won't be messed with.

Oh, I have more than one. But I’m attached to them all. It’s kinda like trying to decide which one of your children is your favorite.....
I even have 4 “assault” drillings from Germany. If the libs saw them they would have a stroke. 8x57JR under 12ga. Best of both worlds.
I had the same thing happen to me at Elephant Butte lake on 7 November. I lost the gun safe too.
Yes, in fact it does. I give it my inprimi potest.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it. ;)

I don’t own any firearms because I have never purchased firearms privately from individuals who do not care about seeing identification or knowing who I am. So I don’t, and never will, own any firearms or be armed to the teeth or anything.
Besides, the children.
Illegal aliens stole mine. Right out of the garage while I was having lunch.
A poster in my local newspaper lost all his firearms in Norris Lake.
