OBVIOUSLY you filed a police report, since without it, that event never happened - at least as far as the Men in Black are concerned.

...of course filling out a false police report is a felony (just a reminder...no implication).

I’ve often heard that with such a traumatic event, people forget to do such things.

Why would you need to file a police report? There was no criminal activity involved.
