Arizona sheriff promises Obama-eligibility probe

At the request of tea party leaders in Arizona, famed Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has promised to investigate the validity of Barack Obama's purported long-form birth certificate in a determination of the president's eligibility for the county's 2012 election ballot.

I attended the TEA Party meeting last night where we all signed petitions asking Sheriff Joe to investigate this. Corsi was our guest speaker and spoke for an hour then took questions for another half hour. I'd guess that our crowd numbered between 200-250 which was a big turnout for our little area.

From what I understood, falsifying documents is a felony here in our State. Since Obama himself put this copy of his BC out as the real one, should Sheriff Joe find that it is a false document, Obama would have committed a felony and a felon cannot run for Office in our State.

I personally don't see much happening with this but one never knows.

Many do not relize that a duly elected county sheriff in many states is one of the most powerful LEO in the land, and especialy so in his county.

IIRC, only a sheriff can form, arm and swear in a posse.

I have been saying for a long time that the key to this whole “eligibility” issue lies in the local jurisdictions.

Federal Court action went nowhere, but local cities, towns, and counties have the ability to verify fraud since it is local election offices that spent money for an election that was possibly fraudulent...

Our AZ State Legislature passed an elligibility Bill but our Gov. Brewer, McCain's good friend, vetoed it saying that it was a distraction!

IMO what needs to be done is have all our AZ TEA Partys confront Brewer and let her know that we, her constituents, do NOT find this a distraction and pressure her to sign an elligibility Bill.

Sheriff Joe ? the first place to start your investigation would be those D.N.C. documents that Nancy Pelosi forged ( opps, I mean, signed ) to certify Obama’s supposed eligibility in your state of Arizona for the Arizona state presidential election in 2008.

From what I have heard and been taught, that a county Sheriff who has been elected by " THE PEOPLE " do not answer to Congress, nor the President of the USA, nor the justice department, the Sheriff answers only to " THE PEOPLE " .

Tea party leaders in Surprise, Ariz., met with Arpaio and WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi Thursday morning to express concern that a fake birth certificate would be used to document the president’s eligibility to run in Maricopa County, where Arpaio is the chief law enforcement officer.

Here we go. I can just see Sheriff Joe saying, "I'm goint to Hawaii to see the original. If I don't, he's not on the ballot in Maricopa County."

And any documents, or birth certificates should be all part of any investigation, and if any state, organization, persons refuses to co-operate should be held in obstruction of justice.

Amen to that. I never meant to imply that County Sheriffs worked FOR the federales or anyone other than the residents of the county that they were elected from. All I meant was that County Sheriffs are the ONLY law enforcement officers mentioned/authorized in the Constitution.

‘bam n’crew will simply ignore the declaration.

If the sheriff follows through and scrubs ‘bam from the ballot:

1. will Republicans and squishy centroids go to the trouble to cast their ballot in an uncontested election?

2. Could the lack of a rival party provide grounds for the dims go to court, seeking to disqualify all votes from that county?

3. What would ‘bam lose from not getting his name on the ballot of a largely conservative district? How would that compare to further vilification in the press, a lower turnout, and the possibility of a court decision to disqualify all votes that the Republicans risk.

I know nothing of the legal snares the dims could exploit to monkey-wrench this, but I’m certain they’ll use all they can come up with?

Let’s face it, Republicans are not as good at tactics as the dims. Best we stay on course and let ‘bam hang himself.

If I remember correctly, I believe that our side has a problem here also- namely, the fact that the President of the Senate, Dick Cheney, also signed off on Buckwheat's eligibility.
