I really like what I'm HEARING from Rick Perry from his speeches and I liked his famous prayer from a few days ago. He has the appearence of what I WANT from a presidential candidate.
But I am concerned about some of the questions being raised about his record not on immigration but on ILLEGAL immigration.
I would appreciate some feedback from those who know more about his record with SOURCES to substantiate them (good or bad).
For instance, I've HEARD people say that he attended Bilderberg 2007. I'm not one who has much knowledge on "Bilderbergers", Tri-lateral Commission Illuminati and all of those topics often discussed by so-called "conspiracy theorists". But I don't dismiss them, especially in these days when yesterdays "conspiracy theory" seems to be today's reality.
More than ever I am not ready to believe anyone just because they say the right things and have a form of godliness. Cultists all do that well and are very compelling. I want to know more about his ACTIONS and history.
Thanks for your feedback in advance.
You’re welcome! Thanks back to you!
What I am interested in seeing is Obama without the telemoter and watching Biden making some of his wild & crazy claims. Like, If you want to know where Al Qaeda lives, you want to know where Bin Laden is, come back to Afghanistan with me. Come back to the area where my helicopter was forced down, with a three-star general and three senators at 10,500 feet in the middle of those mountains. I can tell you where they are.
Joe Biden
Addressing National Guard, Baltimore, September 2008, about time his helicopter had to make a landing due to a sudden snowstorm. And When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the princes of greed. He said, “look, here’s what happened.”
Joe Biden
In interview with CBS News. However, Roosevelt wasn’t president in 1929 and televisions were still experimental.Uh, uh, Chuck Graham, state senator, is here. Stand up, Chuck, let em see you. Oh, God love you. What am I talking about.
Joe Biden
To wheelchair-bound Missouri state senator, Charles Graham, September 9, 2008.Biden on Spreading the Wealth
Barbara West (WFTV Orlando): You may recognize this famous quote: “From each according to his abilities to each according to his needs” That’s from Karl Marx. How is Sen. Obama not being a Marxist if he intends to spread the wealth around?
Biden: Are you joking? Is this a joke?
Barbara West (WFTV Orlando): No.
Biden: Is this a real question?
Barbara West (WFTV Orlando): That’s a question.
Biden: He is not spreading the wealth around. We are talking about giving the middle class an opportunity to get back the tax breaks they used to have.
Obama and Biden in any debate should be hilarious.
“The TEA Party needs to have a Come to Jesus Meeting with Rick Perry on immigration and border control.”
Its too late, Rick Perry has shown his colors on this issue. Even if illegal aliens benefited the TX economy, what about the rest of the country? Why do you think a town of 20,000 got upset when 10,000 illegals moved in? Hazelton PA.
Rick Perry is a RINO and anyone who does a scintilla of research will see that. If he becomes President we have a good chance of more of the same plus amnesty.
Can anyone explain to me why does TX have in-state tuition benefits for illegals when they are not legally allowed to work here. I will tell you why, our elected officials intend on making them legal and we have no say in the matter. They want those voters. They are forcing them down our throats whether we like it or not. And all of them, dems and repubs are in on it.
They will become voters and our neighbors while they live behind gated communities. So much for the rule of law. Illegal aliens are exempt from all laws.
numbersusa.com gives Rick Perry a D- on immigration
oh and dont forget amnesty, immigration reform and pathway to citizenship are all the same thing—amnesty.
Alan Keyes is like Cicero. Cicero had his idea of the perfect world, but the real world is not perfect. Human beings can not be perfect—they are sinful. The real world is like how Machiavelli portrays—in fact, Hitler had his book kept along side his bed. All politicians have read Machiavelli.
To be a politician you can not be like a Confucius, Socrates, Jesus—those people would never hold any positions of power in government—government will more likely destroy virtuous people who stand up to evil—the Bonhoeffer, the Cicero, the Cato, —you have to give up virtue—and lie, and cheat to gain power, and if you are the most successful politician, you will be cruel. If anyone gets in your way you need to destroy them immediately. The most successful are the Stalins—the ones who are rather mediocre people—but a fox with an army and with absolutely no virtue, and is especially cruel. They are the ones who can avoid being killed and eliminate their enemies continually.
So, is Keyes right—yes, most likely. Is Machiavelli correct. Yes, absolutely.
Keyes point, though, is always a great one—the ideal one—the Founders one. The Rule of Law HAS to be kept as close to the original documents intent and meaning, as possible—or else we will become the Rule of Man—which is always arbitrary, unjust, unequal law. It can devolve into anything-—because there is no standard of right and wrong, except Lucifers.
Most of the Numbersusa comments https://www.numbersusa.com/content/action/rick-perry.html about Perry is that he has not made statements, and so is “unhelpful.” Where he has made statements, he gets “good” evaluations.
I used to pray that the Ambassador would be blessed with the humility and shame that the Lord could give him. He could have used that when visiting all of the third parties in ‘08, before taking over the one he made his own.
These days, I just pray he’ll have some peace and that the Lord’s will be done.
And I see you still have NO evidence of *wickedness* nor of lies.
“I don’t give a hoot about your “credence””
Then why did you respond?
;-)
I'm surprised you haven't seen them; their tactics are quite common around here.
Sorry, but he ain't as advertised.
I happen to be a Palin supporter first...if and when she declares. My perference has always been Sarah Palin over anyone else. But I will stand up for Perry when he is unjustly accused.
My son and I LOVE watching that show (Phineas & Ferb). I honestly think that is easily the most intelligent show on television today. That’s scarry.
LOL! No, I might support Ron Paul if it were not for his inexcusible position on Iran and his credulity about the threat of islam.
It is funny how the miserable people who live in Mom’s basement come out and attack people for asking questions. I was being genuine. You and your dopplegangers need to go to charm school.
Outstanding work Patriot08 (Post 20). Thank you for your persuasive documentation.
I like the Ted Nugent endorsement too.
As one who greatly venerates President Reagan, I applaud your pointing out the fact that Reagan, although one of the greatest presidents ever, he was not God and DID make mistakes. He would be the first to admit that I’m sure.
I disagree with Reagan on that act of amnesty and I CERTAINLY REFUSE to keep his “11th Commandment”. I will not refrain from criticizing another Republican - mainly speaking of Mitt Romney. And I will not vote for Romney. I don’t think that will be a problem though because I don’t think he will win the nomination.
Thanks again. I’, liking Perry, maybe a Perry/Bachmann ticket.
I understand where you are coming from savagesusie. I have been a financial and grass roots supporter of Alan Keyes in both his presidential campaigns.
Keyes is too intelligent, discerning and sagacious to win. I’m not being facetious. This country would NEVER elect our founding fathers except perhaps for Washington because he was an action hero. But today’s American is far too ignorant to be able to digest the reasonings of President Washington’s speech writer Alexander Hamilton.
Today’s American could never comprehend Hamilton’s fervant arguement for adopting the constitution, The Federalist Papers, which was written for the average citizen of that time. (Glenn Beck is even pimping a dumbed down version on his website for the average idiot.)
Personally I think as you do. I had the same concerns, which is why I wrote this post. I wanted to hear the cases from all sides. Yours is the most coherent remonstrance.
I said Keyes is too intelligent because today’s America is much like Rome - as Augustine expatiated in great detai in his City of God book. The people are far too concerned with what the hell is going on with Dance with the Stars, American Idol, sports and the Kardashians to avoid giving their liberty away. They can’t be bothered with what Islam is doinf in this country and the threat China poses.
Immorality has us well positioned to be sacked. We are distracted. The “moral majority” is no more as even what used to masquerade as “the body of Christ” have been enslaved by pornography, as I once was for years, rendered invalid, like an enormous valley of dry bones.
I think someone like Perry is perhaps the best we can ever hope to get. That’s not to say that he is weak or disengenuous. I will quite possibly support him and pray that if he is a pretender or a danger that God will stop him. As it is now though, we have the worst possible scenario in the White House now. Obama is judgement upon our nation for our sins.
The question is whether God will 100% give us over to our enemies as He did his chosen Israel numerous times in their times of moral depravity. America is doing just about everything Israel did when God handed them over. We were, as a Christian nation, an adopted form of Israel - much the way on a personal level - God grafted the gentile into His Kingdom through our Savior Jesus Christ. That is why we were a “shining City on a hill”.
To think that our nation can turn it’s back on God and not expect the same discipline God gave Israel when they broke the covenent repeatedly, to think that WE can just sing God bless America and then go and act like Soddom, trample on His commands, desecrate the institution of marriage and kill the innocent babies after Jesus Christ Whom we profess said would be better to tie a millstone around one’s own neck and to be cast into the see than to cause one of these to stumble” - is the ultimate display of arrogance.
Just some thoughts. I don’t want to Judge Perry or anyone by a single prayer they made unless it was heretical. But I am not going commit my vote until the day of the primary and I hope that others will have the sense to refrain from annointing anyone until that day. That is EXACTLY how we got W. He was annointed and the primary was all but over a year in advance, while 75% of GOP voters had never even heard W make a speech. If they had, the 2000 debacle would never had happened. It takes a pretty bad candidate to barely defeat the most odious politician in American history, Al Gore.
I agree - it appeals to kids and the dry-humor slipped into it appeals to adults.
I discovered it at some friends' house a couple of years ago (their kids were watching it) and have enjoyed it ever since.
I don't even remember who W beat in the primary. Was it McCain?
True and it all started decades ago!
Now it's all Rick Perry's fault?
Truth is the Obama administration has been busy shutting down drilling in the gulf, the EPA on backs of TX refinieries but don't give a flip about protecting the borders...in ANYof the border states!
This Texas household does not want to see him get the nomination.
So, who does that Texas household want to get the nomination?
