Even though it's practically over before it started, I thought I would give this a shot...

----------

10. To paraphrase the silver medalist in the 2004 presidential campaign. I was for the individual mandate before I was against it.

9. Who doesn't want a president with Janet Reno hair?

8. Horny as a three-wife RINO.

7. Doing with words what Trumps hair couldn't, disqualify myself.

6. It's time I got a new marriage certificate Contract with America.

5. At least I married MY intern.

4. America, I solemnly swear not to leave you on your deathbed for something younger and hotter, like China.

3. On inauguration day your new Vice President will have been running mate number three.

2. GOPublic Frenemy #1

1. Hey conservatives, prepare to get Newtered

I seriously wonder if Newt is beginning to lose touch with reality. I am totally serious too.

I think he is very intellingent but suspect mental illness can sneak up on you.

Been thinking the same thing — or maybe a brain tumor? I mean this was one brilliant guy in the late 80s and early 90’s — started slipping in the mid 90s — but he’s just off a cliff lately.

I think he’s stuck in 1994. His healthcare ideas would have been acceptable to a lot more Republicans back then. But the party and the electorate at large have been steadily moving to the right on economic issues since the 90’s and Newt is way out of touch.

I screwed up in the 1990’s. Let me try again.

Vote for my VP. After all, the last time I won an election I immediately quit.

No one understands American Exceptionalism like the father of NAFTA and the WTO.

My Libya policies are almost as nuanced as Obama’s.

Nothing says ‘conservative’ like my membership in the Council on Foreign Relations.

Devotion. Commitment. Fidelity.

You are the best. I have allowed myself to laugh more often now, even though my church doesn’t really look well upon it. He is a wicked man and will burn in the pits of hell for his sins.

Welcome to Free Republic! Your last sentence says it all regarding this immoral snake, Newt Gingrich. You will find a few FReepers here still support this idiot despite all of his RINO stances and sick personal life conduct, but not that many left really.

Newt was never a serious contender. He’s damaged goods, unfortunately. I’ve read a few of his books— the guy is brilliant when he’s on his game. And giving credit where it is due, the Contract with America was an inspired idea that was an unqualified success.

But he’s simply unelectable. I do think though that there’s a role for him in some future Republican administration. I suspect he’d make a formidable Chief of Staff.

In military terms, he’s much more of a “staff” officer than a “line” officer. He’d shine as an advisor, among a strong troup of advisors, but he’s not cut out to be a Principal. He’s not an executive.

You forgot the best, cheating on his wife to save the country:
: "I cheated my on my wife because I got so caught up in saving America that I lost my moral footing"
Newt has a history of nuking his own side with his public statements. The fact that he is running around apologizing should tell him it's over.

Your church doesn’t like you to laugh??? What kind of church do you belong to, the Church Of No Humor Allowed?
