Why would anyone like Sarah Palin?
The Auburn Journal ^ | February 21, 2011

Posted on 02/21/2011 9:12:54 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

I am beginning to question myself as to why I ever liked Sarah Palin. Why would I like someone that has faith in religion? Why on earth, would I like someone that has faith in her country for crying out loud? Why would I have faith in someone with values?

Granted, there are those people out there such as Lady Gaga and Madonna to look up to, but Sarah? She didn’t enjoy being governor of Alaska, they say-thank goodness she stepped down! She didn’t want being under the microscope of the press to interfere with her job as governor! Such gall to step down after that!

She wants jobs for Americans IN America? How dare she!! She wants factories here on OUR precious soil, to create manufacturing jobs?? Not In My Back Yard she’s not! Not only that, but she actually smiles for the camera’s that hound her relentlessly! No frowny looks for the media to have a field day with! How dare she smile! How dare she make a buck off of the liberals that cannot get enough of her! She actually makes my eyes glaze over when she goes on and on about how much untouched oil America has too! Good thing we don’t have our own oil supply so the gas can climb to the sky, with all the Mid-East turmoil!

Wow, and guns-she does love those gun rights of Americans. I bet she even uses her second amendment rights and owns more than one gun, gosh darn it! And she kills animals and EATS them too! And so does her family! No going to the store for packaged meat for HER family. She actually practices what she preaches! She should take a lesson from Michelle Obama. Tell the country to eat correctly and then head to Vale, Colorado for a ski vacation on our country’s dime. And while she is there, have servings of ribs at 1500 calories per serving with 120 grams of fat. I am starting to think what a fool I have been for being so dang blind! Sheesh!!

Yes, there are leaders who are living up to the standards of the founding principles. Not enough yet, but we hope and pray and work every day believing that there will be a whole lot more that rise up soon, before the republic is all the way gone.

This has barely begun to be compiled for the next election cycle, but it may give you some idea of what we're trying to accomplish:

The Reagan List

Most Establishment Republicans have been bashing Sarah, most liberals and the MSM have been bashing Sarah saying that she shouldnt run....they are trying to stop her from running not pushing her to run, so some rinky dink website means nothing and you being a supporter of Alan Keyes but afraid to say so has been exposed

..he knowingly have the facts that Sarah had to choose between two pro choice judges

As I stated, no real pro-lifer would keep praising a pro-abortion justice that she was forced into appointing. Someone truly concerned about issue would express remorse about having to do so. All Palin has done, though, is praise in judge in question.

Ideologically, I could live with Palin as the nominee. But, I don't want four more years of Obama and poll after poll show she is unelectable.

It is unheard in the past 30 years for a prominent Republican Presidential candidate to be behind in states like Arizona, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and South Dakota. SHE IS BEHIND IN ALL OF THOSE STATES while other Republicans being polled are in them. She's down 11 in Rasmussen and 21 in Fox News polls.

She is the Jesse Jackson of the Republican party.

Conservatives supporting Palin are doing more to help Obama than George Soros and all his money.

I note that you still haven’t answered the question of whether you think that “states’ rights” trumps unalienable rights.

What bank does Mitt use these days? Is there free pizza and prizes like the Obama crew got in 2008?

"She is the Jesse Jackson of the Republican party."

And you are the Mancow Show's Cowboy Ray or Howard Stern's Gary of FR. I haven't decided yet which moniker fits you best.

Is your right to speak freely, like you do here on FR, “up to the states”?

Maybe she realized that anyone at a State level judicial position would have absolutely NO effect on abortion laws, so why would it matter?

As a veteran’s employment rep. at the state unemployment office I ran into a lot of veterans with lost records from that fire. IIRC, they’ve been trying to piece things together, without a lot of luck. My dad was a Marine in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Lost him back in 2002.

Thanks. I have been wondering for a while and figured it was Korea. The fire was one of those fiascos that people will never understand the severity of the loss.

My Father was awarded 3 Bronze and a Silver (The Remagen Bridge rebuild in 72 hours was the Silver). He hooked up after the Ardennes with the Third (He hated Patton). He was involved in the Rhine campaign and I know based on his war trophies (Hitler's personal cook photo album and now at the Jewish War Veterans Museum in Washington) , he visited the Eagles Nest. He didn't like to talk about it (not even to friends and other family). He did mention the camps and talked me out of nuke submariner service (lost a relative on the Pompano). Beyond that, I have never been able to put much together. Someday I will post his bridge pictures on my Freeper page. I am sure you miss your Father as much as I still miss mine. Thanks again.

Why would that be? Every officer of government, at every level, swears before God to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Which imperatively requires that:

"No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law."

"No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

It's not optional, whether you're a mayor or a governor or a president or a legislator, or whether you're sitting on the judicial bench at any level.

Why can’t you answer these simple questions? Why did you feel the need to evade?

The protection of the rights of all people in the US is dependent on States Rights. Else you may come up against an over-bearing all-powerful Federal Government that will stipulate a one size fits all policy. Although you may feel the avenue to protection of the unborn lies in regulation through the Feds, it can flip the other way just as well. The only hope the pro-life movement truly has is through the protection of State’s Rights. I do believe that Mrs. Palin is quite aware of this and it is quite offensive for you and others here to call her pro-abortion. She lives her ‘choices’ do you?

She quit an oath of office.

Very good call! Except she quit the office and she honored that oath by putting a most competent LtGov in charge. It was not my first choice of actions and I doubt it was hers either. Better one that honors her oath than what many in office at all levels do today who act in ways that suggest they consider the oath to be a joke or an inconvenience.
