Police say that at least seven employees at the state license bureau in Delray Beach have been taking bribes to issue drivers licenses to illegal aliens. The scam allegedly put drivers licenses in the hands more than 1,500 illegal aliens.
On Thursday, police in Palm Beach arrested Willy Adam, 52, and charged him with five counts of unlawful compensation to reward official behavior, and two counts of conspiracy, both felonies.
At his arraignment, Palm Beach County Assistant State Attorney Alan Johnson, told Judge Ted S. Booras that Adam is not a U.S. citizen and presents a flight risk. He is currently in the West Palm Beach county Jail on $145,000 bail.
The Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office issued a warrant for Adam in September, along with six others accused of facilitating the scam by issuing bribes, making phony immigration documents, and escorting the illegal aliens to the DMV employees in question.
So far, police have arrested seven license bureau examiners, who are accused of issuing licenses to the illegal aliens without administering either a driving or written test.
The license examiners allegedly received between $1,200 to $2,500 per license, prosecutors believe that those involved made several millions of dollars in the illegal operation.
Three of the conspirators remain at large.
Last week, in Boynton Beach, a 10-year-old girl was hit and killed by an illegal alien driving on the wrong side of the road.

What a great euphemism!
ML/NJ
This would work for Rangel, and for DMV workers.
With unemployment so high, just why are noncitizens getting government jobs?
Throw the book at the bureaucrats taking bribes for fake drivers licenses. The rest of us are spending a lot of time and money gathering multiple documents to prove we are U.S., FL, and local citizens to obtain new photo licenses in an effort to clean up the mess of fake IDs.
Affirmative Action programs.
An how does a non US citizen secure a state govt job?
I’d like names of the employees on the take. And mug shots.
(WILLY) ADAM
ENOUGH SAID!!!!!
I went ahead and posted although this occurred two years ago. We had a similar instance here in Houston. With so many unemployed now it would be interesting to see how many Illegals or non-allegiants residing in the USA are still at it. I am convinced that more and more sectors of the workplace are completely conquered by foreigners and illegals. It makes me sick! Then we have the plotting and planning of Shumer & McCain Arnold to rub our noses in it!

I believe he was just the “go-between” linking together illegals who needed fake licenses with the crooks working at the bureau.
ah, thanks...
I don’t think he worked for the DMV, I think he had an “in” with the seven DMV workers who were arrested. That’s MHO, of course, LOL.
I wonder how much has been paid to HDOH officials and/or staff to keep Obama’s BC buried?
What’s the problem here??? We have an impostor in the white house!
After living in several states, I most enjoy residing in Florida, BUT,
most businesses here are conducted in a slipshod, haphazard manner. Finding a Florida business that strives to be the VERY BEST is as common as seeing wild Zebras in the Florida Keys. Why this is, I don’t know- but this same sloppy attitude is found in Florida government too.
WHY WOULD ANY THINKING PERSON HIRE A NON-CITIZEN, THEN PLACE HIM IN A POSITION OF TRUST, WHERE HE WOULD BE EXPOSED TO GRAFT?
Here are the DMV workers:
On Feb. 17, Maggie Nelson, 48, of Delray Beach, was sentenced to 18 months in prison followed by three years probation. Debbie Hunter-Collins, 43, of Delray Beach, pleaded guilty last month and will surrender July 12 to serve a two-year prison term, followed by three years of probation.
Examiner Melita Dera Zilea, 28, of Coral Springs, already has been sentenced to three years in prison, followed by two years of probation.
And co-worker Jashonda Kaliha Scott, 25, of Palm Springs, got two years in prison followed by three years of probation.
Osie Carter, 49, Boynton Beach, is the only examiner still set for trial; that’s scheduled begin March 2.
Trial also is set to start March 2 for four alleged conspirators: Jonex Moise, 35, of Boynton Beach; Rene Clairvoyant, 57, of Boca Raton; Willy Adam, 52, of suburban Lake Worth; and Lorigene Jean Baptiste, 41, of West Palm Beach.
Alex Adrien, then 42, of Delray Beach, was arrested in April 2009 and eventually deported to Haiti.
Wish I knew how to post pictures - they are online. I’d just love to know how these people got choice government jobs in the first place.
