One of my least favorite parts of the Constitution is the bit against "cruel and unusual punishment". In my opinion, government workers who corrupt the system ought to be dealt with in nasty ways, publicly.
This would work for Rangel, and for DMV workers.

With unemployment so high, just why are noncitizens getting government jobs?

Throw the book at the bureaucrats taking bribes for fake drivers licenses. The rest of us are spending a lot of time and money gathering multiple documents to prove we are U.S., FL, and local citizens to obtain new photo licenses in an effort to clean up the mess of fake IDs.

I’d like names of the employees on the take. And mug shots.

My wife's cousin told me of this kind of corruption 20 years ago. She worked for the DMV in Los Angles. She said Mexicans would come in for a drivers license, showing identification papers. She and the rest of the DMV crew knew that they got the papers right down the street for twenty dollars. They were told not to question the ID papers by superiors and give them the license. She said one day a guy would come in as Juan Gomez and get a license and be back the next week as Jose Cruz for another license.

After living in several states, I most enjoy residing in Florida, BUT,
most businesses here are conducted in a slipshod, haphazard manner. Finding a Florida business that strives to be the VERY BEST is as common as seeing wild Zebras in the Florida Keys. Why this is, I don’t know- but this same sloppy attitude is found in Florida government too.
WHY WOULD ANY THINKING PERSON HIRE A NON-CITIZEN, THEN PLACE HIM IN A POSITION OF TRUST, WHERE HE WOULD BE EXPOSED TO GRAFT?
