Sarah Palin says it's time to stick up for the 'little guy (Palin coins new phrase: Cocktail Party)

Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor and potential 2012 Republican presidential candidate, told thousands of supporters Saturday enough is enough. It's time to stick up for the "little guy."

Foreclosures are high, stimulus packages are doing nothing to help the nation bounce back and the budget deficit keeps climbing, Palin said. Americans are out of work, and those with jobs are in fear of losing them, she said.

"Little guys across America ... and momma Grizzlies are growling," said Palin, a leader of the Tea Party political movement, wearing the signature red power suit and rimless glasses. "We're going to protect our cubs."

"There comes a moment in time, a moment we feel today ... when we have to say enough is enough. And Bakersfield, enough is enough. You can take it back."

In a nearly nonstop cheerleading speech where she continued rousing the crowd amid cheers, Palin slammed President Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and others for "Obama Care" and demanded "restoration." She called for firings starting Nov. 2, Election Day.

"Are we better off now than we were when Barack Obama took office?" she asked the crowd, which responded with a loud, 'No!.....

......She talked about the "little man" who only wants a good job in his home town, but instead sees a country spending without asking, a bleak economic future, and borders that need protection.

Regarding local issues, Palin said California is rich with farm land, but a tiny fish is considered more important than thousands of Californians being fed, referring to the splittail fish at the center of Central Valley water controversy.

"I'm Alaskan, and I like my wildlife," she said. "But people are losing their farms, crops and livelihoods."

She asked why the "cocktail party" considers the Tea Party movement extreme.

"For believing in American exceptionalism?" Palin asked.

Cocktail Party???

I actually was using it some time ago, before Rush or Hillbuzz, but they are all welcome to it now.

I invented it some time ago, but am happy that all are using it now, especially glad that Sarah is using it.

I can see the MSM headlines now, “Palin steals catch phrase from fringe right-wing website.”

“I won’t bother reading your comments any more...”

Sorry. Seems like there’re two kinds of people in this world, them that likes me, and them that don’t. You’re in the majority.

She went further and contrasted it with the Tea party who is for the little guy. She is going straight for the reagan voter....

And the FDR voter, and the Rough Riders, and the Andrew Jackson voter, etc, etc.

But don't you understand that issues are much more complicated than that. You can't boil down weighty problems of everyday life to a bumpersticker slogan or a soundbite. Ivy League-strength intelligence is needed to nuance blah, blah, blah.

In life, I've observed that truth is never complex, but untruths are exceedingly difficult to comprehend. Whenever I hear liberals complain that conservatives are somehow engaging in subterfuge of some sort for attempting to cut to the chase, or to simplify an issue, I understand where that's coming from.

To the libs, I would say that, yes, the most vexing problems of the modern-day world have childishly simple solutions, but it takes real courage to confront them. It takes even more courage to stand on a national stage and speak that truth, simple as it is.

Those who can, stand on the Mt. Olympus of history.

Well, maybe you should hold a press conference and let the Washington elites know what you want done!

Good luck getting anyone but your family to listen!

Hey girl! Nice to see you around. I’m behind the curve here due to being super busy getting my Annual Conference reports in the mail under the deadline. Whew! Don’t you just love paperwork? One would really believe that a pastor would not have to deal with paperwork (except for writing sermons). Anyway, I made the deadline, except when I mailed them I learned that the mail won’t run Monday, so they will be a day late anyway. LOL. Oh well, the good thing about my job; nobody can fire me except the Big Boss. Be well—>you.

Hi, Nana! I hate paperwork. No, I wouldn’t think that pastoring would have much paperwork in it. Yeah, I keep forgetting that tomorrow is a government holiday. I’ll be at work. God bless!

I agree, they have gone from the love that dare not speak its name to the love that won’t shut up.
However, If they agree with me on who to elect and on money issues, I am not going to start saying they are not conservative enough.
Dads out of work, education in the sh!ter and the government on a wild spending spree, corruption in Washington do not help American Families.

All the so-called “conseravtive” homosexuals in any kind of public position, organization or who write or speak about politics all hold to one or more homosexual agenda goals. That I’ve ever read, and I read a lot. If there are any actual conservative homosexuals, they keep their sex lives to themselves so we don’t know they are homosexual, and that is as it should be.

The GOProud “Conservative” group is all about very militant and aggressive homosexual agenda pushing under the guise of being “conservative”, same thing for the Log Cabin (so named under the fiction that Abe Lincoln was a similar sex pervert) “Rebublicans”, most of whom vote “D” any way.

If anyone wants to vote for conservative candidates, great. But accomodating homosexual agenda wishes and dreams, or any other leftist destructive junk, in exchange for what is merely promises for votes (which may be hollow anyway), is the path to destruction, that the Republican party has already followed.

Time for a U-Turn! Read my tageline!
