It's not just the illegals. A good proportion of those "with papers" hate America and want to transform it into their beloved Mexico.
Disclaimer: Certainly not all citizens of Mexican descent feel this way. But far too many living here do.

I understand your post. I just meant that there are probably escapees from Cuba, N Korea, etc that escaped with their lives and don’t want the USA to become what they escaped. Those illegals are the ONLY ones that have my sympathies.
It was kind of funny watching those two lardasses trying to lay the Arizona flag on the ground. It took them quite a while to accomplish such a simple task and they never did get it right. They really need to go back to Mexico. We’ve got enough problems without having morons like that walking around loose in my country.

Just for the record (lest I be accused of being a bigot), there are some Americans of Mexican descent who fully embrace America. The proportion is far too small in my estimation.
For those who have already seen me post the following on a similar thread a week ago, apologies for the redundancy. Otherwise, this is how it should be for all those wishing to enjoy the blessings of America:
I have a very good friend who is of Mexican ancestry. But unlike the vast majority of them, he became 100% American through and through.
He never speaks a word Spanish, flies Old Glory from a mast in his yard and has cut all ties with the country of his origin. In short, unlike most of them, he assimilated. He even sneers when we're diving and pass a Mexican restaurant, calling the food [expletive deleted]. Although he kept his Hispanic-sounding last name, he Anglicized his first name (to Gilbert from Gilberto).
He has no use whatsoever for Mexico and most Mexicans (including a good percentage of those here in the USA "with papers"). He's proud to be an American and embraces his country.
And I'm proud to call Gil my friend. Wish there were more like him.
He's a bit down in the dumps today though because of what OU did to his beloved t.u. Longhorns. He's still going to be flying the American flag, but he took down the burnt orange flag after reality set in this afternoon! :-)
I think it was taken shortly after Arizona's new law against illegals went into effect at the end of August.

There are some who embrace America. But in the last 20-30 years the left has been haranguing illegals with class warfare ideology. Illegals relate to that because that’s what they had in Mexico. (How old is your friend?)
As a group, they do not react to the American experience by getting all the education they can - that would be acting white. While on the other hand, I personally know Vietnamese women, for example, who work full time, raise children and go to school. So do their husbands.
In school they do not take English as a second language, they deliberately enroll in college English classes so they are surrounded by Americans speaking English. They aren’t a big enough voting block for the left to brainwash so they are allowed to become Americans.
Gilbert's quite a bit younger than I am at 53. That fact alone only reinforces the points you make in your post.
Thanks! I thought perhaps it may have been at the rally yesterday in D.C. but I really didn’t think they would be that stupid and behave that way there.
