This is a ping to try to help save a couple young kittens who were either tortured or simply caught in a trap.
I am copying everyone in case they have heard from you. Please let us know what is going on.

I wish I was in a position to take some rescue kitties.
I talked to Susan at Angel’s Gate last week, Tues or Wed. She said she would call my aunt but never did (I finally got in touch with aunt on Sat). The transportation is not easy - Susan does not want to give up someone for the long drive (either Baltimore or Cumberland is too long), and even me possibly going to Lewistown PA (my MIL’s) still doesn’t take much off their drive from NY.
In addition, my aunt is busy this week with her 4H kids and her own sheep at the county fair.
She said she can take about a month before finally doing something, when the (male) cats might be mature enough to start trouble with her females.
If there is any more arrangement/transportation issue, I mentioned her assistant as a possibility to help out. I don’t know if “BJ” can but I think she would.
I may look into calling this volunteer pilot thing to see if they could take them to LA, even.
This past week I was out near my garden shed and I kept hearing a meow, but I guess my mind was telling me it was my cat and I didn't pay much attention. Eventually I was doing something nearer to the shed door and I heard the meowing again and could immediately tell that it was a "little" meow and it was a distressed call.
It took me well over an hour to find the baby, and he was a beautiful gray kitty with tiger stripes and white (huge) paws. He could not have been over 6 weeks old. Absolutely tore up both of my hands with is teeth and claws ... good grief, I never knew that a kitty that small could be such a wild creature. I had to put on these huge fireplace gloves that are leather with some kind of insulating material inside which makes them very thick.
Since he couldn't be handled at all, I put him in my giant size dog crate with a litter pan, an old soft bath towel for a bed, and a food and water bowl. He settled down before the day was over and boy, did he eat! I kept the crate out at the shed because I felt he would be more comfortable in somewhat familiar surroundings AND because my cat was not having any part of this rescue ... she was really PO'd.
Long story short -- I get up the next morning and the crate has no kitty. Towel, litter pan and bowls are all still in place, door to crate is secure and NO KITTY. The squares in the crate door just above the squeeze handle were just large enough for him to escape. Haven't seen hide nor hair of him since. With other out buildings, I expect I might run across him again soon, but he could have been so traumatized by being captured that he ran for his life.
In the event that he hangs around, I'll eventually have to trap him and have him neutered, but he'll probably remain wild. I was really amazed at how wild he was. His spitting, hissing and biting were like nothing I'd ever seen.
Y'all take care and let me know if I can help in any way with the disabled kitties.

Thanks for the updates on these kitties. I’m hoping and praying that good homes can be found for them.
God bless you and your kind loving heart,JADB....
I have 2 non-special-needs kitties at home but would take those little angels in a heartbeat were it not for the little diva wench of a tabby I have...she absolutely will NOT tolerate another cat in the house. She goes ballistic when one walks past our French doors.Talk about territorial! She puts up with the old man Rusty cause he was here before her and she was the newbie. He accepted her readily, which kinda surprised me,but boy was I glad! They have their pawprints all over my back..and my heart! LOL
You’re very welcome.
Thanks guys.
Maybe I should’ve also tried the VA board, which I didn’t bother.
Anyone taking these sweeties will be well-rewarded, going by my experience. I have two that were severely abused and confiscated by the authorities—were on the news around here because of the severity of it—and they are simply wonderful cats. Although skittish around strangers, they are incredibly affectionate and gentle. I hope you can find a way to get them to your area. I’ll be happy to chip in a bit to help with travel fees if needed. (Freepmail me to let me know.)
You are quite wrong. Abused cats make some of the best pets. I speak from experience.
UPDATE
Pretty good news:
While at her county fair for her 4H kids and her own goats/sheep, my aunt found out there is a local no-kill shelter. The people there are arranging to pick up her handicapped kitties soon (probably through her assistant). She didn’t know (unbelievable my aunt wouldn’t know; she seems to know everything up there being on farms and in medical practice) there was a no-kill place around! The shelter says they will keep them and find them a home.
Aunt said she’d tell me if she hears any solid news about them getting real homes.
And she says they are still thriving at her barn. But she wants them out soon because they’ll spray all over her hay that her animals need for food.
Thanks to all who were interested, and my aunt thanks you too. (I think my uncle doesn’t want to see me for a long time, harassing them on the phone as I have!)
Great! May they find wonderful forever homes!
Thanks for the update....I hope you find out if they find good homes....and I hope the shelter AND YOUR AUNT gets all the cats fixed now....Priority #1~
Thanks for the good news.
