Glenn Beck Ratings Crash Due to Attacks Against Birthers?
The Conservative Monster.com ^ | 6/18/10 | Steve Cooper

Glenn Beck had over 3.7 million viewers back in Jan 2010 and since then he has lost almost 2 million viewers and I believe this is due to him undermining the Obama eligibility movement. The people see through the attacks Glenn and we sense that you are aiding Obama and John McCain hide their alleged cover up of Obama's ineligibility.

It’s summer. Period. I used to watch Beck every night, but like many others; I am busy with outdoor activities, and can’t watch. I’ll be back in the fall...like many others. If people aren’t watching because they feel he ‘dissed’ birthers; to the exclusion of all the other useful materials Beck provides; they have another agenda or they are simply idiots.

There’s no way this could possibly be known.

I watch or listen to Beck as often as possible. He has been annoying me for the past 6 month as he has getting too pushy on religion. I keep listening ans will continue to watch and listen because almost everything else he has to say is OF GREAT WORTH.

He’s probably got the same reason as everyone else. Namely that no legal (or otherwise) authority requires it.

I require it. And until I see it, my standing challenge to Zero to a duel stands.

I am one of those who no longer watches> Of course, I was annoyed by his ridiculous statements concerning Obama's eligibility and those us us who have questions about this. (I guess "Question authority," has its limit?) But the thing that caused me to stop watching was that almost every show seems to be a repeat. There's the blackboard and look he's putting up pictures of Obama and Van Jones, and Chairman Mao and Ann whatever her name is. The stench of Elmer Gantry is also there. But for a short while Beck did bring good things to the table.

Every American should read “The Manchurian President.”

There also is no documentary evidence that BHO’s parents, assuming Barack, Sr., was his father, were ever married. Barack, Jr., has acknowledged this in his book. Barack, Sr., was married at the time of Jr.’s birth to a Kenyan woman, and subsequently had one or more additional Kenyan wives, simultaneously. Barack Junior was not born of U. S. citizen parentage, as required, quite apart from the unresolved question of his place of birth..
A Hawaiian Certificate of Live Birth is not a valid proof of place of birth, and publication of a notice of birth in a newspaper does not constitute evidence that would survive a challenge in court.

The problem with building your show’s ratings by appealing to fringe elements is that if you ever decide to argue a sane point, you can lose your audience.

There was that meeting that Obama had with Ailes and Murdoch, back in September. Reportedly, Obama was polite to Murdoch, but really ripped Ailes about Fox’s commentary regarding POTUS and the Wookie. Supposedly a truce was agreed upon at the meeting.

If so, it didn’t take long for Beck’s show to lose something, did it? By December, Beck was even yukking it up with O’Reilly about the wisdom of a VAT. Only two percent, mind you, and limited to a ten-year term. Made me want to puke.

That said. guys like Beck, Hannity, et al represent the army we’ve got, not the one we may think ideal. That’s the way I look at it, with some patience. It’s already becoming cool to bash Obama, Let’s give Obama’s dwindling fan base a snootful over the long, hot summer, before we “pivot” into elections. Beck can follow, we will lead.

And that’s why you likely learned nothing the whole time.

Sucks to be you when what he is saying comes to pass and you are left dumbstruck because some delivery style wasn’t your fancy.

“Beck’s tv gimmick isn’t a long term act. It can pop some big ratings for a while but that basic act tends to not stand the test of time.

He had his big run - most people don’t ever get anything comparable. His act just gets stale and people get tired of it. It has nothing to do with snubbing any particular fetish group.”

?!?!

This is just sad.

So many people here watch the show, and learn NOTHING.

Absolutely nothing.

If there are people that are really “tired” of what he has to say, then they are of no use anyway.

The issue is why are his tv ratings down and why he has less viewers. That has nothing to do with what you typed.

Weird.

The Birthers or the “Obama Eligibility Movement” fail to grasp one key point that ends their entire “Obama’s ineligibility” arguement before they start.

O’s mother was an AMERICAN CITIZEN, which means no matter where he was born, in Hawaii, in Kenya or on Pluto, he is an AMERICAN CITIZEN BY BIRTH. Nor can a parent renounce the American Citizenship of a child.

Beck has every right to blast them, they are acting like a bunch of morons. The longer the birthers keep pushing a non-issue the more they sound like a bunch of, well ... “racist” and I hate using that term but it seems to fit.

Right. That's why when I lost my SS card I couldn't get another one WITHOUT a copy of my BC. Get real.

I needed t to get my social security card, I needed it to play little league, I needed it to get into the military, etc. etc.
