As I expected, the DUmmie reaction has been similar to that of the White House: Kicking and screaming and holding their breath till mean old BP makes the problem go away.
But it's interesting when they touch on the media and its take on the story:

As far as I can see, the media have hardly brought it up. They seem far more concerned about Rand Paul's views on lunch counters.

The media constantly bringing it up? Yes, it may be the third item in the national news shows but the tone is more like a natural disaster and talks only about what BP is doing. Absolutely nothing about the administration.
If President Bush was still in office, the leaking BP well would be item number one, two and three with two of the segments on President Bush’s ties to big oil.

Is it not now crystal clear that our government is nothing but a corporate controlled bunch of incompetents? Sorry folks but this is the final nail in the “obama os super smart” coffin. Obama clearly is in over his head...way over his head. His handling of this (and really every major issue he has had to deal with) is simply pathetic and really just incompetent. Forget ideology, incompetence is now our greatest enemy. we are being run by a bunch of dumb asses whose only concern is to keep their corporate donors happy and get reelected. THATS IT.
