Criticism that data on unemployment statistics dont properly account for people being shifted from full-time to part-time jobs was brushed off by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev). What these critics fail to consider is the fact that part-time jobs offer more leisure time, Reid countered. This extra leisure is a benefit that the Democratic Party has bestowed upon an overworked population. We dont get proper credit for that.

TGIJS (thank God it’s just satire).

TGIJS (thank God its just satire).
I was completely fooled.
Very Funny !!
And I spend my extra leisure time perusing FR. Thanks John.
Can someone find him a job in construction not destruction?
Leisure time for illegal aliens? Thats who this job bill supports!
Thanks again, John.
Everybody: Read the other stories too. John, you are da man!
We need apart-time congress. Thanx for your regular dose of psuedo-reality.
Shelby CO...Memphis, TN has reached slightly over 11% unemployment rate, highest in the State.
Just like the good old days. When do I get my free sammiches?
John, should I post this ?

Just my opinion, it's John's thread, but IMO you HAVE posted it by including that link. I followed it; others will.
But (with no offense intended) please don't "inline" a huge pile of almost unreadable text in other threads, especially when it's 10 times the length of the entire rest of the thread. It annoys the cr@p out of the rest of us who are reading the actual comments relevant to John's post.
I suggest you make your own thread for it in the Bloggers or Chat areas. You can still link to that here.
That said, it's John's thread... Thanks! :)
Dad blast it, John! I’ve never had high blood pressure in my life but seem determined to give it to me. LOL
Thanks for the ping, and the chuckle John. Good one. We both enjoyed it as usual.
That one is dirty. Nice
Sorry, no malice intended. Did not realize that a link gets dumped (translated from digital into copy) into the rest of the stuff on the subject line,(thread) rather remaining as strictly a link.
No problem -- what you did is fine (post a link to your blog page). It didn't expand in this thread; it stayed as a link.
Here's why I commented earlier. I took your question ("John, should I post this ? http://www.theusmat.com/home.htm") to mean: "May I copy the content of my blog page into a comment in this thread?" And -that- was what I was cautioning against.
Unfortunately, some folks in this forum seem to think that every thread exists as a free billboard, where they can spew a huge amount of stuff (text, pictures, whatever) that they generate elsewhere and copy wholesale into other people's threads. I (and others) find that practice extremely annoying and selfish.
So when it seemed you might be suggesting doing so, I thought I'd raise a caution flag. However, it seems you didn't really intend to do so, so I apologize for making a false assumption.
Also, I applaud your energy and initiative in writing and posting your opinions on your page. Not many folks take the time to think it all through, and make it available to the rest of us. Carry on!
How I wish my daughter who now has 3 part time jobs had any leisure time, benefits or high salary.
Thanks for the ping...we need the laughs around here!
