Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) is reportedly very uncomfortable with the idea of newly elected Senator Scott Brown (R-Mass) sitting amongst us in the Senate. The reason: in 1982, Brown posed nude for Cosmo magazine.
The people expect that Senators will exhibit only the highest levels of decorum and integrity, Reid said. Im not sure that Scott Brown lives up to this expectation.
Reid pointed out that each chamber of Congress is responsible for deciding whether a person shall be accepted into the body. So, we could vote not to seat Brown if we feel that doing so would diminish the respect voters have for all of us.
The Majority leader brushed aside criticisms that Congress has accepted tax cheats among its ranks and as appointees to the Executive Branch. Everybody cheats on their taxes, Reid argued. Why should we single out those who get caught and exclude them from government?
Reid also rejected the late Senator Ted Kennedys questionable behavior in the death of Mary Jo Kopechne being used as a standard of reference for how low the body might stoop regarding the quality of its membership, calling such comparisons unfair and unkind considering the illustrious legislative record Senator Kennedy compiled in the years following that unfortunate tragedy.
In related news, MSNBC pundit Keith Olbermann urged that the special election vote for Brown be overturned due to its implicitly racist overtones. Here we have Americas first African-American President politely asking Massachusetts voters to send Martha Coakley to the Senate to help him pass healthcare, Olbermann said. But exit polls showed that the majority of Massachusetts white voters dissed the Presidents request. We cant let white voters in one state impede the policies of a black man elected by a majority of the voters in America.

You know, if Harry Reid were to block a duly elected senator from being seated over a “nude” photo in 1982, he should seriously worry about his own political safety.
And some people thought the photos of our favorite reporter - Helen the Horrible - was bad!!!
It would probably have been a good idea to tag the title with “Satire Alert”! It seems that point is getting lost.
Interesting...I thought it was a SNL skit.
Harry and Helen look so right for each other!
I think we should exclude from the Senate anyone who exonerates tax cheats.
Yes, I agree. I don’t like these satire posts that are all too close to what can be expected. The most honest people are the most gullible people and are the easiest to fool.
Ha. There could not be much less respect for them than there is right now.
Do you keep a count of how many people fall for these satirical pieces? lol - I really don’t make fun because our politicians are such a joke we all could easily believe this was true!
It's fun reading the comments from people who missed this part.
If that's the case, them most of you should have already been thrown out on your a@@'s!!
Did he really say that out loud??? Really???
And no, not everyone cheats on their taxes. I'm too afraid to cheat.
As far as I know he has never drowned a young female intern!
Ummmm...
You might prefer to ask his WIFE, as she would be the female with direct knowledge of his heterosexuality, FRiend.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev)<-————In deep Homosexual Panic.....
I was referring to his comment about his daughters being 'available'.
If you say so. I mean, why would I look it up for myself?
