Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) is reportedly very uncomfortable with the idea of newly elected Senator Scott Brown (R-Mass) sitting amongst us in the Senate. The reason: in 1982, Brown posed nude for Cosmo magazine.
The people expect that Senators will exhibit only the highest levels of decorum and integrity, Reid said. Im not sure that Scott Brown lives up to this expectation.
Reid pointed out that each chamber of Congress is responsible for deciding whether a person shall be accepted into the body. So, we could vote not to seat Brown if we feel that doing so would diminish the respect voters have for all of us.
The Majority leader brushed aside criticisms that Congress has accepted tax cheats among its ranks and as appointees to the Executive Branch. Everybody cheats on their taxes, Reid argued. Why should we single out those who get caught and exclude them from government?
Reid also rejected the late Senator Ted Kennedys questionable behavior in the death of Mary Jo Kopechne being used as a standard of reference for how low the body might stoop regarding the quality of its membership, calling such comparisons unfair and unkind considering the illustrious legislative record Senator Kennedy compiled in the years following that unfortunate tragedy.
In related news, MSNBC pundit Keith Olbermann urged that the special election vote for Brown be overturned due to its implicitly racist overtones. Here we have Americas first African-American President politely asking Massachusetts voters to send Martha Coakley to the Senate to help him pass healthcare, Olbermann said. But exit polls showed that the majority of Massachusetts white voters dissed the Presidents request. We cant let white voters in one state impede the policies of a black man elected by a majority of the voters in America.

I don’t know an e-mail address for Reid but we could all fax him this pic of Senator Franken at 202-224-7327 or his Las Vegas office at 702-388-5030
Got me!
I suppose that Kleagle Byrd's behavior shows the proper decorum for a Senator.
((”Everybody cheats on their taxes, Reid argued...))
Oh really? He needs to have his checked now since he thinks he can speak for “everybody”....Does that mean the rest of us can?...hummm...so why isn’t the IRS going after these guys. They have committed a crime.???? Do tell? Class distinction perhaps, elite mindset....they alll need to go as quick as we can get them out!
Frankly Brown should not have run with the poster boy spread...but the people did vote for him... and that was that. Does make you wonder how much of a “play -boy” he’ll be or is?
He looks like a turtle coming out of the shell... he really does...
GOOD SATIRE....But don’t give them any ideas !
I don’t know why he would even care about them being in Arizona since he represents Nevada.
Did you know the word "gullible" isn't in the dictionary?
I’ve looked and looked and read and read..and I can’t find the satire anywhere in that article. Did you mess up the link title?
Harry and hid Democrat buddies have killed, lied, cheated, you name it they have done it. Brown has shown his credentials which is more than the CIC has done.
Lets get all of them pictured, be it photo shaped or not doing their deeds..tax evasion, o;’barney, cheating on their mates..even that one of Bo with Sarkozy looking at that girls butt. etc. and then send a spread right to every member of congress...Rep’s included becuase they aren’t exempt either. Now that would be an interesting sight...
Kinda like that drawing in the sand...He that is without sin cast the first stone.
LOL!
Great point!
I’m positive that Reid didn’t get Bwarny Franks opinion on that.
Stuart Smalley is a victim of low self esteem.
If this is not satire . . .
their outrageous hideousness has reached a new low.
Treasonous bustards.
Crap!
Hook, line, and sinker!
LOL!
“Brown has shown his credentials which is more than the CIC has done.”
So you think the CIC should show his “credentials” in Cosmo?
Ya done good on this one.
LOL!!! (And there is always the picture of al franken in diapers with a bottle and bonnet...from an SNL skit, I think!)
He is exposing little more than would be seen on most beaches and it was nearly 30 years ago. This is beyond silly that anyone would take this charge seriously.
