For all those TCU fans who have been chomping at the bit insisting that the Horned Frogs were the true number one college football team - or at least they should be participating in the BCS Championship game - last night's Fiesta Bowl ...

And ROLL TIDE!
Go Hawks.
Regardless of what Kyle Efaw says, 14 - 0 can stake a claim on #1.
TCU and Boise State were pretty evenly matched so if one team didn’t belong in a BCS game, then the other didn’t either. It’s a mistake to single TCU out.
And both of those teams would have beaten Cincinnati.
A lopsided win by Texas or Alabama will result in an undisputed national champion, regardless of what Boise State has to say.
Speak for youself, you elitist snob. I love the WAC.
And by the way, although Fresno State did lose to Wyoming (in a close game), Idaho WON the Humanitarian Bowl against Bowling Green.
PROUD WAC FAN!!!!!
Just............DAMN!!
Thats why the AFC should never have been allowed in the Superbowl.
Champion TCU!!!
So here’s an interesting thought. Had Nebraska beaten Texas, who should have played Bama in the Championship Game, knowing what we know now? Should Texas still have played, or even should have Florida gotten another shot?
I remember what Utah did to the Tide last year.
Hard to tell if she has all of her teeth...
Villanova, winner of the FCS playoffs, are the true NCAA football champions. The results of the December/January exhibition games are irrelevant.
I’m such a UT fan, I bleed orange.
But that picture....
Man!
(Roll Tide!!)
Would it matter?
There has never been a true national champion in college football, especially with this ridiculous BsCS system.
Until there is at least a 16-team playoff that provides equal access to all division 1 teams, there should be a fat asterisk next to every “champion.”
I didn’t think it was possible, but the BsCS took a pretty bad Bowl system and made it worse.
BTW, regarding the quip about Boise’s schedule - Texas faced a pretty weak Big 12 this year along with Wyoming, LA Monroe, UTEP and UCF out of conference. Alabama played an ever so slightly better OOC schedule with Virginia Tech followed by the fearsome threesome: FIU, North Texas and CHATTANOOGA!!
As they say, people in glass houses...
If it were possible, I would hope both Texas and Alabama lose, because college football fans get screwed every year about this time.
As a UT alumn, let me just say that I think I might switch my BCS vote to Alabama...

The Fiesta Bowl halftime show could have used more cowbell...
