Yum, this reminds me of the mock apple pie you can make with Ritz crackers.
Are you from the Upper Midwest...?
Our D-I-Love makes this every year at Thanksgiving. It’s a wonderful casserole!
Pour it over a cheeseburger with Spam and call it BurgerObama.
Yuck!
Canned pineapple is ok in a pinch, but I bought a fresh one the other night and ate it all in one sitting.
Are the crackers used whole or are they crushed?
They are crushed ....just crush them in the pack they come in, and she usually doubles the recipe because it gets eaten as dessert as well as a casserole. :-)
As a matter of fact....they will be here in about 4 hours from Disney World. They went there for Christmas.
They surprised the kids and they were ecstatic!!!
Happy New Year to you and yours!
Thanks for posting. Interesting mix of things; I will have to try it.
?
Argh! No way!
the ritz cracker part didn’t sound too good to me, I’m sure the author enjoys the treat.
sounds horrible
I would prefer to eat the fresh pineapple as someone already mentioned.
