From the Conan O'Brian show: Shatner reads a few snippits of "Going Rouge" and then is joined be a suprise guest, Palin who in turn reads a little of Shatners' book! Palin says: "I think Bill did a great job, yeah, and I think it's only appropriate that I read a few choice excerpts from Mr. Shatner's autobiography..."

Uh, no big deal but just to be clear her book is "Going Rogue". Rogue, as in an independent-minded, strong-willed person. Sometimes used by RINOs as a disparaging term for someone who thinks for herself.
"Going Rouge" is the parody book. As in "Rouge", french for red, the powdery makeup that women use on their faces.

You may not know this, but William Shatner is an actor. Actors can do stuff to
register different emotions but without feeling them.
Seriously: check out the blocking on stage. Shatner moves away from the focus of action just before Palin comes on, instead of moving to the host, shaking hands etc.
Shatner knew, this was rehearsed. And no less funny for that.

This was rather lame exceptionally well done as it allowed Sarah to speak with humor and poise in her own voice, and show Mr. Errr, Ummm, Uhhhh how it's done.
