Apparently some depraved losers have decided to use scripture to express their contempt for President Obama. It's not cute. It's not funny. It's far from an appropriate understanding or use of the text.
I don't agree with President Obama on almost anything, but I would never wish any harm to come to him or his family. No decent person, certainly no true Christian, would either.
For all my criticisms of President Obama, House Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Reid, I always say that the way we change things is through elections in 2010 and 2012.
May no harm come to any of them.
Anyone who does this hurts our cause and only gives liberals, especially media, ammunition and opportunity to reinforce negative stereotypes about Christians.
Who died and made YOU boss?
what ‘our cause’?
“Who died and made YOU boss?”
My thoughts exactly.
Boo hoo
Ever considered we don’t care what the media stereo types are at this point?
Tell me honestly. Do you REALLY THINK that if you did EVERYTHING right that they would treat you with even a MODICUM of respect?
What does Psalm 109:8 say?
(from memory) Let his days be short, and let another take his office.
This phrase is really annoying.
It is Biblical to ask God to change a person's heart or take them out (removing them).
Christians need to stop being weak, that is what plays into the liberal's hands.
Its the call letters for a Christian Rock station in Kingman Arizona
I see nothing wrong with this, it's a little humorous actually. Knowing how the Left hates Christianity, it's a little slap in the face. The verse says nothing about assissanation, murder or mayhem; it simply says I hope he leaves and someone else takes over.
Given the violations of the Consitution that have taken place so far in his watch, he may indeed be removed from office before his term is over.
I was all ready to tear into k3nn3th for criticizing efforts to pray for Obama, but then I checked out Psalm 109:8:
“Let his days be few; and let another take his office.”
That ain’t cool. OTOH, why the circular firing squad?
I answered my own question.
Psalm 109:8
Let his days be few;
and let another take his office.
I want one of those shirts. Thanks for posting it.
“A free man thinking freely”? Really?
More like “A politically correct pantywaist with his knickers in a wad”.
Psalm 109:8 does not wish harm on anyone.
You are assuming that Psalm 109:9 is also implied, but if they had wanted to mention that, they would have. All we want is for Obama to step down.
Apparently some depraved loser has decided to tell me how I may and may not mock Obama.
Now both you and Obama may plant a big wet smooch on my posterior.
That is the liberals' problem, not ours.
Can’t you take a joke? Don’t you “get” the context of the joke?
There are lots of jokes that biblically based; people do not take it seriously.
How about this: work on the liberals to STOP TRULY ABUSING SCRIPTURE when they talk about redistribution of wealth and empowerment? They aren’t joking—they REALLY BELIEVE IT.
(see: Jeremiah Wright and liberation theology)
I think I’ll use it more now.
9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10 Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg:
let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
