MSNBC: Conservatives Seek to “Stoke Racial Indignation” among Whites
NewsReal Blog ^ | July 24, 2009 | John Perazzo

MSNBC television host Rachel Maddow yesterday charged that Republicans and conservatives know only one way of trying to expand their political influence – by fomenting and exploiting racial fears and prejudices among their overwhelmingly white base of supporters. (Snip) Said Maddow:

“This is chapter one of the art of Republican politics since Richard Nixon. When surrounded by a more popular opponent [i.e., Barack Obama] whose ideas you can’t necessarily counter or you don’t feel confident countering, steer as far clear as you can of ideas and policy, and instead stoke racial indignation among your base when you can.”

It’s cute that Maddow (with her sagging ratings) still thinks she matters....

“Race pimping is how they stay viable,”

Appropriate since the people who scream racism are a bunch of whores.

Another unsurprising editorial from MS-DNC.

This faithful tool of the Left has likely stumbled upon what will become the official talking point on the exposure of Gates/Obama racism.

Every time something leaps into public awareness that exposes liberals for the irrational bigots they really are, their minions get to work coming up with spin and twisted logic to make it seem like something other than what it is, deflecting blame to their enemies.

This is very possibly little Rachel's highlight in service to the ideology to which she's surrendered herself.

Her convoluted argument will probably be repeated by the other drones in the media until the pawns of the Idiocracy are repeating it, believing they're so informed they've come to this conclusion themselves.

That's how the MSM works.

They decide what the masses will believe is important, and how they are to feel about it.

Then they go about spoon feeding it to them over and over--often using the very same words.

If the lemming public makes no effort to get other points of view from any of the sources they discredit, marginalize and if possible censor as they know most people won't, they've got them.

During the 2004 campaign Paul Begala noted sweetly that it was no coincidence the “Bush states” were the homes to the KKK, Aryan Nation, Neo Nazis and generally all religious lunatics.

From what I heard of the belligerance and antagonism of Gates, it’s hard to believe this guy is a Harvard professor. Harvard prides itself as being one of the finest and most prestigious universities in the world. This has to be an embarrassment to the school, in that, they employ a man who is so rude and crude and obnoxious.

Before he went to Princeton(!), Cornell West was a professor employed by Harvard. A more racist, lower-class, saliva-spraying jerk would be hard to find, from what I've seen of his TV appearances. There's precedent.

Specifically, Maddow took issue with recent conservative criticisms of Supreme Court Justice nominee Sonia Sotomayor, who is Puerto Rican, and Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, who is black. Sotomayor, of course, has been criticized because of her obvious, longstanding allegiance to race-based politics, while Gates has come under fire for recklessly accusing white Massachusetts police officers of racism.

I really gotta find out what she smokes and get some!!

What has been troubling about the "race Card" from the outset of zero's campaign and well into the future is that his sycophants have framed the discussion in a way that makes it impossible to disagree with the politics of ANY (so-called) minority because it HAS to all be race-related!!

Unfortunately, this is one of the tactics that the left employs so well and it is one of the reasons they have such strong support from the various minorities - they tell their deluded supporters that it is REPUBLICANS who are the racists because they know that their supporters will NEVER try to match actions with words. They only hear the words.

This is why Republicans/conservatives are considered the "lily white racist party", because we allow the left to define who we are. The best thing that Republicans could do to fight this would be to point prominently to the RNC Chair and point out that Bush 43 had MORE minorities in his cabinet than Bubba 42 (the FIRST Black president) ever did . . . . . or ANY Dem, claiming to represent the poor and minorities!!

OH, the hyPOCRISY!!!

Yeah, with Demos in control of House, Senate, and the White House and a fillibuster-proof majority, what we really want to do is start up a race war.

Bumb ditch!

Is she kidding? Obama's policies are all we talk about. How about this? Obama's poilcies are SOCIALIST! Government takeover of banks, autos and health care is a bad idea! Let the free markets work and let moral hazard fall on those who deserve it. There. None of that has anything to do with race.

"Obama called the cop stupid, but it was Gates who acted stupidly. Then Obama acted stupidly. Now Rachel Maddow has acted stupidly. It’s a veritable Stupid Parade."

I was thinking along the lines of a Circle of Jerks. (Or something like that)

Are all the police organizations stoking racism?

No matter what the usual suspects have to say when defending the won, the allegation against the officer is FALSE.

I guess Rachel hasn't met PA State Rep Dem John Murtha, who quipped that his constituents were gun-toting Bible huggers too racist and redneck to vote for Obama, with immediate charges to us to shed this and vote for him. But no, no racial pot stirring here....

“Notice how Harvard has yet to defend Gates.”

Probably because their campus police were called, and those officers saw what a jerk Skippie was being. They probably told the higher-ups to not get involved.

“I’m so sick of political correctness, walking on eggshells, DIVERSITY, etc. This incident fanned the flames, Gates AND Obama fanned the flames at least as much as a Sharpton, Wright or Jackson. Damn right I’m indignant.”

My personal theory is that Obama want’s society different demographics to start to kill, riot, etc. against each other so that HE can declare a state of national emergency, and declare martial law, suspend all elections for 2010, and take total control. He’ll isolate different demographics, cities, states, and let the population decline into anarchy.

I hope and pray this does not happen.... Never thought I’d live to see this day.
