The Broad Perspective on the Growing Outrage in America
Columbia Conservative Examiner ^ | June 11, 2009 | Anthony G. Martin

An ill wind is blowing in America. Ordinary citizens from coast to coast are feeling a growing sense of outrage over what they are witnessing in Washington. At least one talk radio host states that the rage he is hearing from his listeners indicates that trouble is brewing beneath the surface that could erupt into the streets, not in violence, but in peaceful protest that sends a signal to Washington.

wow mom, I was just pondering the very same things yesterday, as well as the 'gut feeling' of our citizens as the rest of the world headed for MAJOR conflict before both world wars, knowing [???] instinctively that their future plans were just so much daydreaming...

ive actually been kinda stuck for quite some time, several years actually, about whether or not its worth while to even get outta bed some mornings, cause I *know* in my guts that im really only killin time...

since november, my mind has been constantly racing back & forth on the proper preparation to somehow insulate my family from the coming storm, but alas, as with the previous years, I realize that God has a spot for me & mine in His Plan, and I must trudge along until its all revealed...

my 'fat & happy' future plans may well come to pass, but my human outlook cannot rest comfortably with this in yer face attempt by a rogue government, to pick the very fight for our existence none of us truly wants, but that we all know is truly needed...

on a side note, Ive been having a hard time piecing together the underlying insanity of the hussein...specifically, how does a muzzie [ruled by royal theocracy] and an alinsky socialist [basically an atheist collectivist thug] coexist in the same person ???

or should we simply call this pr!ck 'legion' ??? sending it into a herd of swine would be ironic eh???

I'll state an observation that I've made. SE Mom pretty much validated it with what she said in #66.

People feel threatened. They feel pushed into a corner. Whether it's a real truth, or a perception is not the issue. What's real in the minds of people that causes them to act is real enough. More and more people will feel that they have nothing left to lose and they'll lash out in what appears to be random and possibly disassociated incidents of violence.

Unfortunately, what they won't do is ORGANIZE. They won't do this because they're driven by fear and desperation and they lack the presence of mind and fortitude to organize and actually formulate a plan and take action. Of course this would mean an active, aggressive armed resistance, but bear in mind that all I'm doing is is observing. I'm not advocating, nor am I suggesting that anybody DO this. Personally, I think the coward ratio is way off and there aren't enough good people anyway... just my opinion.

People need to organize. But they won't because they fear. So they'll continue until they feel pushed to the point of no options. Then they'll either give up, or lash out violently dying quickly, and then being written off as yet another nutjob. It's a vicious circle perpetuated by fear, but does one thing very well. It illustrates that those who oppose the current tyranny are still too fearful, weak, and ineffective to do much more than break under pressure and then be be put down one at a time by the very ones whom they oppose.

great *observation* and I think you are right on that it doesnt matter what the actual 'truth' is, only the cummulative effects on the individuals...

which is a rather brilliant tactic by the alinsky machine, as at this point, we cannot truly 'trust' each other that we are the only 'sane' one in the crowd, thus delaying any organisation in a meaningful way...

around here, we have common ground, but beyond a select few people, family included, the 72 hr hold at the psych ward is a real possibility if my thoughts were spoken aloud...

Ive asked *how* do we organise w/o being targeted by the goonsquads many times in the past 8 yrs, and almost always been told 'an army of one' or 'think globally, act locally' etc etc etc... and that is frustrating...

obviously, I cant endorse or propose ANY ACTION beyond marching and voting, but eventually we all will have our ballots read by the Judge, and I truly believe that alot of the flurry of attacks recently is simply an exercise in distracting God Loving Christians from the voice of the Spirit, and effectively forcing our heads down for the bonzai rush to come...

did that make sense ???

What does “protect and defend the Constitution” mean? Aren’t there literally millions of Americans who have taken an oath to do just that?

If Winston Churchill were alive I think he would recite the following about 0bama
Who is in charge of the clattering train?
The axles creak and the couplings strain;
And the pace is hot,and the points are near,
And Sleep has deadened the driver's ear;
And the signals flash through the night in vain,
For Death is in charge of the clattering train.
"
qutoed by Winston Churchill in "The History of WWII", Volume 1, The Gathering Storm, pg 123.

This is my hope. Your nomme de plume is taken from Amos, a simple shepherd who proclaimed truth in his simple, rough, and unpolished style. We must do likewise.

Look... Trust in God - Psalms 2 and 73 have but at few times in history been so literally pertinent, and this is one of those times:

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. (Psalm 2:1-3)

Stand firm. Don't go out of your way to provoke. Don't do what that idiot Roeder did and try to play God, Who has allowed the scourge of judgment on this land through evil men like Tiller. He was still God's Tiller. If it comes to it - if they come to us, to our sovereign domain, to our homes, we will be ready. We pray they do not, for our families sakes, and for theirs too. We pray for their safety and conversion, but if evil meets us head-on, our first covenant duty as men is to the safety our own families - not our state.

Be not cowed into silence. Continue speaking and airing your opinions boldly, because you have done nothing wrong:

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. (Proverbs 28:1)

Lastly, be ready to die. Don't be too attached to the fickle and fading pleasures of this world. If your time comes, or my time comes, be ready when God calls us to the sidelines to put others into the game to fulfill His purposes. For us, if we have Christ as our savior, it is "Well done, good and faithful servant!" The hate is clearly out there. We are called haters, but I have seen hatred with the liberals on the abortion issue alone. "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil!"; "When he lies he speaks his native tongue" All of the other evils, the theft of elections and wealth earned by sweat and toil, the lust for power - all of it flows naturally from their cavalier treatment of the weakest and most "useless" human beings, who can do NOTHING for them. This tells me all I need to know about them, as it did a certain German Poet: "You can easily judge a man's character by how he treats those who can do nothing for him."

We are up against evil. I pray that these evil men, who are nonetheless subject to the misery common to all fallen humanity (and themselves prospects for renewal of life), are also indeed cowards as you suggest.

Checks and balances (High School civics we all know):

Executive
Legislative
Judicial

Each has a pulling or “checking” effect on the other two. When all three are of one mind to purport evil, we have a fallback:

The 1st Amendment - right to voice opposition and constructive alternatives. We do this on FR every day.

The 4th Amendment - right to dwell safely as law-abiding citizens in our own homes.

Filing all of the above, we have one final hope:

The 2nd Amendment - The Founders, who themselves were and became the government, envisioned a potential future scenario of tyranny, well beyond their own lifetimes. The 2A offers the last line of defense to the citizen before he is killed or cast into shackles of slavery. Certain types of pieces are effective against everything, including a tyrannical federal force, barreling down the road toward monarchy at appalling speed.

“Why do you need that?”
“I have my reasons.”
“You use it for fun?”
“No, too expensive”
“You hunt with it?”
“No.”
“You plan to commit any crimes?”
“No sir, I’m an honest citizen with a wife and kids to feed and protect. Sir, this weapon is the one I hope I never have to use. It is the one that separates freedom from slavery. You may not take it, because in doing so, you take my final safety net against a government which can then do anything to me. Good day to you, sir.”

Opposing tyranny forces tyrants to greater tyranny, until they are stopped.
Rush is correct, opposition will force 0 to act with force. In doing so he plays his last card. This was precisely the strategy of the civil rights movement of the 50’s.
When I saw the shotgun in my face and received threats of lynching on the streets of Corbin, KY while the police looked on I knew that we had won.
Placating tyranny emboldens tyrants. Encountering them with the indominatable force of nonviolent resistence threatens them to their bones. Their violent reaction ensures their ultimate destruction as doers of evil.

He is a pretty bad man to attempt to rush such change when almost half of his nation DOES NOT AGREE with his childish, heavily government controlled plans for our lives. Uhbama is already rich. He will not have to suffer under the shit he is laying at our feet.

Fits right in with what I've heard it said about him...that underneath his outer persona, is a deep-rooted, seething hatred for this country and a way to "get even" for all the wrongs committed by America...I would imagine that after his push for this healthcare fiasco, next will be his "got to have it now" push for this civilian "force" ..."as strong as the military" ... to "protect" us? OMG! I believe that will be his next push...you can bet you sweet behind it's already in the works...his "czar" for this plan is probably already in place, just not announced publicly.

Until there comes along a voice of deep, penetrating systematic thought we will remain stuck.

Life goes in cycles as does philosophy. It's not a linear stream defined by the passing of time.

The philosophy that is embedded in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution has been at trial under fire at least since the late 19th century and has really taken a frontal assault for the last 50 years. But it is surviving.

Over the thousands of years humans have been around they keep coming back to the things that work. That, too, is a philosophy. A natural philosoply, if you will. The philosophy that gave birth to the United States of America is still alive, kicking and is seeing -today - the darkness before the dawn. The marxist/post-modern philosophies don't work and even former marxist/communist states like Russia and China are telling us so in no uncertain terms.

As a constitutional conservative I feel very comfortable relying on the philosophy ensrined by the founding fathers. And it has the advantage of being fairly widely-held and in high regard in this country except for the far left and the partisan liberals.

America will win in the long run because of its philosophy, IMHO.
