The Broad Perspective on the Growing Outrage in America
Columbia Conservative Examiner ^ | June 11, 2009 | Anthony G. Martin

An ill wind is blowing in America. Ordinary citizens from coast to coast are feeling a growing sense of outrage over what they are witnessing in Washington. At least one talk radio host states that the rage he is hearing from his listeners indicates that trouble is brewing beneath the surface that could erupt into the streets, not in violence, but in peaceful protest that sends a signal to Washington.

If you’re beginning to feel the outrage from the “Silent Majority” you can be sure that a real storm is brewing. People with families, those about to retire, those who actually work for a living, the small entrepreneur are all uneasy, distressed and are beginning to get to the point that they’ve had enough. And this is even quite six months of this madness. Actually, it’s time for States to begin polling their constituents about whether to remain in the Union or to exercise their sovereign right to secede guaranteed by the Bill of Rights.

Good post. But this present crop of "R" office holders .... what can I say?

Remember when Nancy Pelosi was talking about the 'culture' of corruption? ... the response from our elected congresscritters?

Miss Nasty knew she had'em.

Remember Cold Cash Jefferson? the "R"s did nothing ... why?

'Cause Jefferson agreed to vote for the BK 'Reform Act'...

That group of corrupt ba&tards feathered their nests, knowing they were going to get the snot kicked out of them in the coming election(s).

Then there is GWB - when he wanted Amnesty - I said "Self" (I was speaking to myself) "why even bother".

I've seen the damage the last Amnesty did to California .... Dubya is an enemy of my shrinking wallet, hell our very liberties, in the long run.

On a more positive note, if Palin undoes her stand and desire for an Amnesty, then I'll return to the fold like a good little sheep.

I was one of those show up early and help set up the chairs - master chef the the fund raising Bar-B-Que's, plus clean up after, in my local district.

But if the nominal head of the party wants Amnesty ....Screw'em

And frankly, if the "R"'s continue with their love affair with free trade, the party is dead.

The only protests that will work will be carried out in the voting booths.

As long as ACORN is backed by zero, we'll never win at the voting booth. It's past that imo.

"Like it or not liberals have the intellectual high ground, low and vulgar though it is. Until there comes along a voice of deep, penetrating systematic thought we will remain stuck.

There is a plethora of intelligent commentarians with well reasoned ideas and a deep commitment to the dignity of freedom and individualism.

Until we have a Weltenschaung that systematically replaces the old ideals of the 19th century, of collectivism and its vile spawn, with an in depth analysis of the requirements for individual liberty we will not begin to win the raging wars that engulf us. "

"Waiting" and "hoping"...."Waiting" and "hoping"....just more fetal-position strategy of anticipating a future occurrence of a miracle.

Precisely the strategy posited for many decades....and the results are now clear as the end-game approaches.

There are no nice, civil strategies that have any real "hope" of working.....that is, stopping this (now inexorable) slide into a dark tyranny.

One solution is clear...it was written by the Founders.

The only other possible solution may be the opportunity offered by the government's inability to calculate anything and get a correct answer. (Or, if it does get the correct answer, to lie to it's serfs about the answer!) That possible world-changing solution arrives in in 2026, 2036, and 2037.

Personally I don't want my current grandchildren and great grandchildren and their descendants living as freedom-less serfs into the next millennium because we ignored the solution offered by the Founders OR Apophis goes quietly by.

Thanks for the ping Jeff, great post noumenon.

I’d like to hear some of our freeper’s thoughts on what I’ve heard Rush say more than once, that chaos is just what obama wants so he can impose his will. In other words, if we march or move on DC or how ever we attempt to end this hell, he’ll have his opportunity to start trouble and impose martial law.

It may be so...but it will be overreach.

Not everyone (by a long stretch) in the military will obey such orders...once such actions begin, millions outside the military (many of them former military) will actively oppose it.

The result of such a course would be horrific...but, sadly, tragically, would also be necessary if the tyrants and usurpers amongst us force it to that.

I pray with all energy of heart, and work to avoid it...but in my soul know that we need to be prepared.

Indeed, we should have always been prepared.

What this country needs is another Million Man March on Washington DC.

This time however we need to be fully armed and throw the treasonous bastards out of OUR Capital!

Thanks for your incisive comments and the direct talk.

Claire Wolfe once said "It's too early to [you know what]...".

I think Claire would agree that it's no longer "too early."

I think I like this GOP Member of Congress from Minnesota:

Rep. Michele Bachman: Obama is Running a Gangster Government

Call a spade a spade is never easy. Especially in Congress. My comment is not 'racial' in nature. Far from it. No racial implications are to be drawn from it. But my statement is truthful.

It has to be more than that.

The people taking over our free country have organized into ‘blocks’. They actually write the legislation they want then pay the politicians to pass it.

For freedom to prevail citizens have to write their own legislation, repealing, revoking and neutralizing all the anti american unconstitutional laws we now have on the books.

Otherwise we get rid of Al Gore, but the Telecommunications act of 1996 is still there allowing cell phone companies to steal the bandwidth that used to be broadcast tv, which effectively kills off all the small broadcasters in the market and enforces the government-media propogandist partnership.

See what I mean?

[ I began to see this clearly about 3 months ago. My early attempts to explain the likelihood of a military coup were met with anger and derision on these forums. ]

I have been saying it for 5 years..

Its true I'm tin foil bound.. but it appears I have been correct all along..

because the old guards and guideposts are not carried on.

Attach yourselves to these people and organizations and learn everything you can from them before they go. Take up membership with the groups and help to preserve them and their message of civic duty to the Constitution.

The corrupt Chicago Dem Machine, Insider bankers, Hollywood elitists, coupled with the well-funded Upper West Side limousine liberal (communist) crowd have staged what amounts to be an anti-American coup, via 7% of the dimwitted voters, too brainwashed to think for themselves, which they and everyone else in this country will deeply regret as the months tick by.
