More than 20,000 people turned out to see Palin lead a parade through downtown Auburn and sign a proclamation honoring Seward, the 19th-century Secretary of State who negotiated the $7.2 million deal with Russia for Alaska, which is celebrating its 50th year of statehood.

20,000? I don’t think Auburn’s population is much larger than that...it’s a small town. Maybe people coming in from Syracuse..?
The funny thing is hes not the biggest threat to Sarah. I got a feeling it will be self inflicted if things go like they have been.
Sarahcuda Bump!!! 2012!!!
Auburn only has a population of 28,000 and it’s heavily democrat. Syracuse news coverage was more decent than I expected. They interviewed a Virginia couple that traveled 12 hours to see Sarah, and a couple wearing all their Alaska gear. Out of an estimated 20,000 people screaming Sa-RAH, Sa-RAH, they found a rumpled protestor who tried to bring up the unfortunate stereotypes about her, and an admitted lefty gal who said it’s a great day for Auburn and she came out to see what Sarah had to say.
The remarks she made at City Hall were brief, but sweet and witty. She gave a longer speech inside the Seward House. I’m trying to find a transcript of that. She’s reported to have made some comments on 0’s policies.
Sarah, Todd and Willow were in town yesterday as tourists at the Harriet Tubman House, and the Women’s Historical National Park and the Women’s Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls.

I think I found a tagline...regarding the VAT she said, "There is nothing value-added about ANY tax". I'm in love...LOL.
If you’re keeping a Ping List for ‘Sarah Sitings’ would you please add me? Thanks!
Go, Sarah! Go! :)
Thanks for the link. I admire her. It’s so refreshing to see LEADERSHIP from an elected official. :)
Romney and his minions have been trying to undermine and destroy Governor Palin ever since McCain selected her as his VP running mate. His flip-flopping, opportunism, and RINO socialism aside, I'll never forgive him for that and will take every opportunity to ram a big stick in his eye on this forum.
My good FRiend SolidWood takes care of the Palin PING list, and through this post, will certainly add you to it.
I know one thing.
She draws bigger crowds than the Washington Nationals have this week, COMBINED !...lol
Bumper stickers and T-shirts in the Healy household which are ready to go.
That looked like a full blown campaign event to me !
“So how many have been showing up at Romneys events lately?”
Ouch! That’s gonna leave a mark! Rom-dog is ok but he’s no Sarah. He is likeable though imho, a good candidate. So who have we got? Sarah, Romney, Jindal...anyone else realistically? I think Sarah would destroy Obama in a debate by contrast. We do need someone who can control the media narrative and be a “rock star” as much as that can be lame.
Thanks! :)
And FWIW, I’ve been wearing my hair in a ‘Sarah Flip’ and wearing my ‘Sarah Glasses’ (I had them before she did!) to drive the LibTards I work with insane. ;)
I’ll keep it up through 2012 and beyond; it’s kinda fun! :)
You nailed it. That's what sets her apart from other pols, even conservative ones...the ability to lead and inspire. Reagan had it. Palin is younger and less experienced than Reagan when he ascended to the national scene, but she has it as well.
Took the words right out of my mouth.
Lead. Follow. Or get OUT of Sarah’s way! ;)
"At one point, Palin said she shared with Susan B. Anthony a desire for the protection of women. "For me, that includes our youngest sisters, girls in the womb," she said."
It looked like a campaign event, but the town fathers of Auburn, home of Seward House, started working on this months before Sarah was nominated. They went to Google and looked up “Alaska Governor”.
Republican presidential candidates don’t spend much time in New York State. I was thrilled with the welcome she got, as Auburn is a democrat town, and the Women’s History attractions nearby are solid left. Let’s see if Sarah can ever get nominated to the Women’s Hall of Fame, much less as quickly as Gerry Ferraro did.
