Obama’s National Security Force: The Seeds are Planted
The Gadfly ^ | The Gadfly

Posted on 03/19/2009 9:13:39 PM PDT by The Conservative Yogini

There is no higher religion than human service. To work for the common good is the greatest creed. – Woodrow Wilson (and his worship of the STATE)

Way back when, during the campaign, Obama made the declaration that America needs a national civilian security force, that is “just as strong and just as well funded as the military.“

Well, folks, here it comes.

The Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act, known as the GIVE Act -- sponsored by Reps. Carolyn McCarthy, D-N.Y, and George Miller, D-Calif. -- was approved by a 321-105 vote and now goes to the Senate.

McCarthy is a nut and Miller is a closet communist. What a pair of America-destroyers and the damned Republicans went along with it. They all deserve to lose their seats since they’ve already sold their souls to our enemies.

Millions More Movement rally
Washington D.C., October 15, 2005
Louis Farrakhan speech

From Louis Farrakhan's "Nation Of Islam" website, FinalCall.com...
Re: Millions More Movement rally, Oct 15, 2005:

Unity generates power to change reality
By the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan

"The time has never been more ripe for a strategic relationship between the Black, Brown, Native American and the poor of this nation and the world."

"We need a Ministry of Defense. Our young men are born soldiers, but they are in the wrong war. They are fighting a war in the streets of America against each other, or they are fighting an unjust war overseas in Afghanistan and Iraq. We need to bring our boys home and put them into the Ministry of Defense, so we can defend our communities, rather than destroy our communities.

We need a Ministry of Art and Culture. We applaud the hip hop community, the leaders of young people all over the world, but I want the young generation of artists to know there is a bigger purpose for art and culture than popping our fingers and shaking our backsides. Mao Tse Tung, throughout his long march to conquer China, had a billion people whose lives he had to transform. Many of them were victims of opium, drugs and prostitution, like we are. But Mao Tse Tung went to the cultural community and they accepted his idea. Then, through song, dance, poetry, drama, documentaries, movies and books, the idea of Mao Tse Tung became the idea of a billion people. China became a world power on the base of culture and the artistic community. If we had a Ministry of Art and Culture in every city, [we'd] create this movement [in the U.S.], we could say to our young people, “What is the idea of the Time and are you reflecting that idea in your songs, dance and music?

We need a Ministry of Trade and Commerce. Do you think that a Millions More Movement should not be involved in the development of Africa, the Caribbean and Central America? ... we need a Ministry of Trade and Commerce that can link the struggle here with Africa and the Caribbean, Central and South America.

70 House Republicans voted for this bill because...

The best case scenario: America wastes another couple of billion dollars on a program that fails in any of its stated goals but succeeds marvelously in creating a machine at taxpayer expense which creates Democrat voters, government jobs for Democrat apparatchiks, and a nationwide indoctrination culture.

The worst-case scenario: America unwittingly commits to building a brown shirt organization which provides the mass and muscle for the Obama cult of personality and the staffing of reeducation camps for the socially recalcitrant.

... and 70 House Republicans voted for this bill because?

I wonder if this group is going to be called this?

“Help America Live, Fight, And Stay Safe” AKA H.A.L.F.A.S.S.

BTW this is from the “Ashes” series. Don’t recall the name of the author.

Yes I think it might be stopped in the Senate but it is not likely.

Much depends on the breadth and depth of the populist reaction to the AIG bonuses and the exposure of the administration's duplicity and incompetence. How angry are the people?

It is a fascinating insight into human nature that we tend to react disproportionately to trifles after we have endured stoically one outrage after another. So it is with the public and the AIG affair. Who can measure the depth of the reaction? It will be interesting to see if any good polling comes out on the issue.

What I am trying to say is that the best way to derail this bill in the Senate is to find some emotional hook that resonates with the public and beat it like a drum. This is not a question of logic but of emotion. The AIG affair demonstrates that the public will ignore trillions and fixate on a few bonuses.

We must understand that obama has yet to play the real fear card and we must somehow prepare for it. When his programs begin to stall as eventually they must, look for Obama to really play the fear card.

I don’t know, but I aim to find out. Pat Tiberi is my Rep and he’ll hear from me in the morning. I want to know WHY he voted for this AND WHY he voted to tax 90% on the bonuses!!

Wasn’t it Hitler who said people would fall for a big lie easier than a small one?

The orchestrated ‘AIG rage’ is just sleight of hand being done to distract from the real corruption.

Perhaps the psychology behind the millions vs. billions is that people are overwhelmed [or broken] by the latter and have some wild idea that they can affect some “control” over the former.

It’s like the cowardly scavenger who will not fight for the whole carcass but will “bravely” bicker for the leftover scraps.
