STUDENTS AT the University of Rochester (UR) and their supporters from the community occupied a campus building February 6 in solidarity with the victims of Israel's siege of Gaza--and in a matter of half a day declared victory after winning important concessions from the administration.
The university agreed to a public forum to discuss UR's financial policies, and its investments in Israel and companies that do business in Israel. It also promised support for a campus-wide fund drive for Palestine, donations to Gaza of surplus supplies, and international student scholarships for Palestinians.

We live in a screwy world. muslim terrorists kill westerners and Israelis, and instead of treating them as the Enemy that they are, westerners give them support and supplies, and blame their Israeli allies!
That’s plain nuts!

My alma mater. I am ashamed. I am also somewhat surprised as UR, at least when I was there, had a large, if not majority, Jewish student body.
Never heard of that building though. Surpised. It’s only been 30 years.
Can somebody explain (the “friendship” between these nuts) to me what do communists see in Islamism?
Mine too, I’m embarassed to say (at least right now).
In my days at U of R (1970s), the Chancellor at the time (W. Allen Wallis) would have told the bastards (in person) to get out, and then he’d call the cops and not think twice about it.
Wow! We were there at the same time! Class of ‘75 here!
I’m not sure he would have though. He did nothing when the leftists wanted to shut down the Center for Naval Intelltigence (I was NROTC). What the leftists didn’t know is that there was no building there; just profs that contributed. They ran all over campus looking for the building!
Cap’n,
It was related to me (in the fall of 1972) that when ‘those people’ had wanted to shut down CNI, Wallis said (to whom in particular I am not sure), “not while I’m chancellor.”
Is that an urban myth?

There was no building! All there was was a contract with the Navy with some of the professors! They looked for that ‘building’ for hours!
