Washington Atheist Sign As A Sign Of The Times

The government of the state of Washington has officially endorse endorsed atheism by allowing the following statement to be posted immediately next to a nativity scene:

“At this season of the Winter Solstice may reason prevail. There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.”
You need to understand, a nativity scene is not a statement, but a symbol. And the "holiday tree" (it's not even called a "Christmas" tree) is likewise merely a symbol. There is no comparison to the dismissive, hateful, statement that the government allowed to be posted on state property that categorically states in propositional form doctrines that people are called upon to follow.

How far we've come since the dreadful 1980 Supreme Court decision (Stone v. Graham) in which it was decreed that the posting of the Ten Commandments could not be posted on government grounds given that:

If the posted copies of the Ten Commandments are to have any effect at all, it will be to induce the schoolchildren to read, meditate upon, perhaps to venerate and obey, the Commandments.
But it is entirely appropriate that children be induced to read, meditate upon, and perhaps even venerate and obey, the doctrines of atheism.

The nativity scene and the tree are symbols. You can't read a tree. And the nativity scene doesn't urge you to believe or not believe anything.

The simple fact is that the Supreme Court's ruling was blatantly un-American and unconstitutional, and flies in the face of our history. But even when we accept this decision at face value, we see how incredibly hypocritical atheists and their liberal supporters truly are. They are perfectly FINE with indoctrination - as long as it is THEIR indoctrination of godless atheism.

Bill O'Reilly said on his radio program yesterday that this campaign was both ridiculous and hateful, and asked whether it would be appropriate for the Ku Klux Klan to get equal time on Martin Luther King day. And given the posting of this sign and the official government endorsement it represents.

O'Reilly said if atheists wanted to post a symbol, maybe they could put up a picture of Bill Maher. I would submit that a gas chamber or a gulag would be a far more appropriate symbol of atheism (considering the nearly 200 million who were murdered by avowed Marxists and officially atheist governments during the last century).

It is interesting that the doctrine of "separation of church and state" does not exist in the United States Constitution, but it DID exist in Article 124 of the Constitution of the Union of Soviet Soviet Republics. Our founding fathers were completely in favor of the vital relationship that religion - and Christianity in particular - had with American government. The federal government was restrained in favoring one sect over another, and most definitely NOT compelled to separate itself from religion.

You may examine the various early charters and compacts that provided the Judeo-Christian foundation for our government; you may read the religious Clauses in every single one of our State Constitutions, proving that religion, Christianity, the Bible, and our founders’ understanding of the Constitution were and are entirely compatible.

You may read statement after statement from our founding fathers as to their views of the necessity of religion being the foundation of our system of government:

"We have no government armed with the power capable of contending with human passions, unbridled by morality and true religion. Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." - John Adams

“…And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion…reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.” - George Washington, Farewell Address, Sept 17, 1796

“Religion and good morals are the only solid foundations of public liberty and happiness.” - Samuel Adams, Letter to John Trumbull, October 16, 1778

“The great pillars of all government and of social life [are] virtue, morality, and religion. This is the armor…and this alone, that renders us invincible.” - Patrick Henry, Letter to Archibald Blair, January 8, 1789

“Without morals, a republic cannot subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying the Christian religion…are undermining the solid foundation of morals, the best security for the duration of free governments.” - Charles Carroll (signer of the Constitution), Letter to James McHenry,November 4, 1800

But that isn't all we have. We also have the fiery words of Thomas Jefferson - as a primary representative of our founding fathers and in fact as the man who's "separation of church and state" has been so profoundly misrepresented by liberal judges - condemning the very notion of a group of black robed masters imposing their will upon the Constitution and making law for the people without representation:
“This member of the Government was at first considered as the most harmless and helpless of all its organs. But it has proved that the power of declaring what the law is, ad libitum, by sapping and mining slyly and without alarm the foundations of the Constitution, can do what open force would not dare to attempt.” —Thomas Jefferson to Edward Livingston, 1825. ME 16:114

“The Constitution . . . meant that its coordinate branches should be checks on each other. But the opinion which gives to the judges the right to decide what laws are constitutional and what not, not only for themselves in their own sphere of action but for the Legislature and Executive also in their spheres, would make the Judiciary a despotic branch.” —Thomas Jefferson to Abigail Adams, 1804. ME 11:51

“To consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions [is] a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy. Our judges are as honest as other men and not more so. They have with others the same passions for party, for power, and the privilege of their corps. Their maxim is boni judicis est ampliare jurisdictionem [good justice is broad jurisdiction], and their power the more dangerous as they are in office for life and not responsible, as the other functionaries are, to the elective control. The Constitution has erected no such single tribunal, knowing that to whatever hands confided, with the corruptions of time and party, its members would become despots. It has more wisely made all the departments co-equal and co-sovereign within themselves.” —Thomas Jefferson to William C. Jarvis, 1820. ME 15:277

Thus the atheists who attempt to subvert our religious foundations - and flock before the courts to have judges impose their will upon the people - are every bit as much fools in their understanding of America and history as they are fools in the religious sense (Psalm 14:1).

And we are fools, also, if we allow these fools to have their way with the religious foundation which made this the greatest nation in the history of the world.

As Alexis de Tocqueville is generally credited with having said, "America is great because she is good. If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great." And we are already seeing his the repercussions of his wise warning beginning to unfold today.

You know how to best counter this? Someone print up a professionally done sign talking about Festavus. Put up a Festavus Pole next to the atheist sign. LOL.

These ‘Freedom From Religion’ pukes are stationed here in ‘The People’s Republik of Madistan’ which has been harboring them for decades. They have made SO much money off of this scam, you wouldn’t believe it. The only way they’ll ever be shut own is if the IRS ever audits them. Until then, they have bilked millions out of their uneducated, cult-like Sheeple followers.

Well, you have to realize that when WE say atheist displays “offend” us, the ATHEISTS say that the fact that we are offended is itself offensive. And the judges nod sympathetically at them in understanding and rule in their favor.

It’s like the UN, which is outraged that Jews would actually fight back against the terrorists monsters who keep trying to murder them.
