WashingtonNow, in the middle of his transition to the White House, Senator Barack Obama, IL, has officially declared, during his administration, smoking will now be allowed in all areas of the White House.
The ban originally came in 1993 after Hillary Clinton removed all the ashtrays within the White House, concerned that second hand smoke would cause brain damage to the many guests that frequented the hallowed halls.
However, in direct defiance, Barack Obama has said that he will immediately repeal the ban upon his inauguration. The repeal includes all floors of the White House Complexthe two story basement, the Ground Floor, the State Floor, the Second Floor and the Third Floor.

...cause brain damage to the many guests that frequented the hallowed halls. No danger of that with Dems flooding the place now.

For all those freepers who consider a candidate's position on cigarettes to be more important than minor stuff like the inherent right to life, traditional families, second amendment rights, victory in Iraq, winning the WOT, tax reform, ANWR drilling, etc., well, it looks like Obama is a "true conservative!" After all, cigarette smoker Obama OPPOSES the "nanny state" (translation: nicotine restrictions), so who cares where he stands on all that other stuff? He lets us have our cigarettes in the White House, unlike those nasty health nut "socialists" Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, and Mike Huckabee.
Sit back and relax freepers, America may become a socialist third world hellhole, BUT it's all OKAY because rest assured, you can now take your tobacco and enjoy a long relaxing puff in the White House.

You know, I have thought about that and how it would stink

The ban originally came in 1993 after Hillary Clinton removed all the ashtrays within the White House, concerned that second hand smoke would cause brain damage to the many guests that frequented the hallowed halls.Incorrect. Try
The staff surreptitiously started removing ashtrays because of Hillary's propensity to hurl them at her husband as his goings and, er, comings, were reported. They just got tired of cleaning up the damage. Lamps were also reported to be in short supply, replaced by track and recessed lighting that was out of reach of the angry First Lady.
you gotta fit the theme to the legend.
