I've posted a few comments at the link (under the name NoMoreBlatherDotCom). Unfortunately, despite the opportunity to take an anti-BHO argument directly to those who spend their days presenting a pro-BHO argument and who have millions of print subscribers, apparently I'm the only person who realizes how effective that could be.

If anyone wants to push back against Time Magazine, please sign up for a free account there and monitor their site occasionally. Then, present an on-topic, polite argument against BHO. If you can point out the lies in their posts right there in their comments section that would be very effective.

Powell fragged McCain this morning. I guess Powell did learn some of the lessons of Vietnam.

Who here is really surprised about Powell’s endorsement of The One? I half expected it.

One more guy who’s worried about not being included in DC cocktail parties.

In politics, one always seeks endorsements. Usually that applies to the folks who ran 3rd, etc. and virtually never someone who never ran for office, notwithstanding a nice resume of military service. That assumes they have, to use a political term “coat tails”. Powell will deliver, at best, the black vote. Wow, that is delivery. Folks, relax, the media will have their tingly feeling up their legs but Powell cannot deliver, politically speaking, the mail.

Interesting idea. I tried the same thing in Wikipedia. They just roll right over you there. How long do your posts last in the time blog before they’re deleted?

Colin Powell matters?

What is he going to do, get more of the Afro-American
population to vote for Obama?

Sure...Hell get Thomas Sowell to vote Democrat.

“As a key reason, Powell said: “I would have difficulty with two more conservative appointments to the Supreme Court, but that's what we'd be looking at in a McCain administration.”

I guess he does not like Clarence Thomas much.
Must have been overjoyed at Kelo Vs New London.

Who needs this MEGA RHINO?

He just shot himself in the foot with Conservatives and
relegated to spend the rest of his days with the
back biting liberals.

I honestly think this and all the other pro-obama crap we are going to be hearing for the next two weeks are part of a concerted plan to convince the uneducated that Obama has already won the election.

Convince the rank and file it is useless-- "resistance is futile", and everyone against "The One" will just roll over and give up.

Well, I for one am NOT buying all this positive crap for Obama, and all the negative for McCain. This isn't over yet, and I hope more people will realize it.

This is a strategy the dems have used for the last four elections, maybe more, and it MUST be ignored and fought!

If the Mccain campaign were smart, they would say they understood Powell’s endorsement of Obama because Powell was a trailblazer himself in terms of breaking down racial barriers. However, his reasoning leaves a lot to be desired given Obama’s lack of experience and achievement.

He was obviuosly fired (stepped down) from the McCain campaign. That must be when McCain’s campaign started doing well.

******

Michael Ellis “Mike” Murphy (born 1962) is a Republican political consultant. He has advised such nationally prominent Republicans as John McCain, Jeb Bush, John Engler, Tommy Thompson, Christie Whitman, Lamar Alexander, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was, until January 2006, an adviser to Mitt Romney, the Governor of Massachusetts and an about-to-become candidate for the Republican presidential nomination for the 2008 presidential election. He stepped down as a result of his role as chief strategist to Governor Romney as well as Senator McCain.

For the 2008 elections, Murphy is serving as a regular commentator on NBC’s Meet the Press and The Today Show. He lives in Los Angeles, California and also works as a writer and producer in the entertainment industry. He is a guest columnist for TIME Magazine.

On September 3, 2008, during a segment on NBC, Murphy was recorded making harsh comments about Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin (despite having praised Palin in other appearances), unaware that his microphone was still live.

I think Powell's endorsement is FAR more of a sledgehammer blow to Powell's credibility on foreign affairs and military leadership.

General Powell, I really respected you during DESERT STORM I but I'm glad you're out of the saddle now and I don't respect your actions at all.

Unfortunately for you, this endorsement will be your legacy.

From the person who gave you the Iraq War!

How can you be against the war, and accept the endorsement of one of the men responsible for it?

As WFB used to say “a paradoxically incongruency”.

Also an indication that Obama is running out of steam...too bad he hasn't run out of money, but Michelle is working on it with Room Service at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. (See Iranian Caviar and Dom Perignon Champaign). I bet they're buying expensive new clothes each and every day for the campaign. And they criticized McCain's shoes.

Yawn.

McCain blows away Obama beyond the point of repair in terms of qualifications.

How...progressive, of Mr. Powell.

Cheers!
