I am not normally of the view that endorsements mean much in Presidential politics. But Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama today is a real sledgehammer blow to the already staggering McCain campaign. Not just because a Powell endorsement shores up Obama's shaky foreign policy bona fides, but even more because of the content of Powell's remarks on Meet the Press. The General showed he still knows how to launch a brutal offense. Powell's remarks were an across the board indictment of the McCain campaign. He threw a subtly delivered but perfectly targeted series of chops at each of the the major fractures of the shaky McCain campaign; the Palin choice, the dark tone of the campaign, the Helter Skelter antics at the onset of the economic crisis. As a great McCain admirer, I am sad to say it, but the truth is the video of Powell's endorsement will boil across You Tube and do great damage in these closing days of the campaign.
If anyone wants to push back against Time Magazine, please sign up for a free account there and monitor their site occasionally. Then, present an on-topic, polite argument against BHO. If you can point out the lies in their posts right there in their comments section that would be very effective.
Who is Mike Murphy?
Powell fragged McCain this morning. I guess Powell did learn some of the lessons of Vietnam.
Mike Murphy USED to be a McCainiac.....now he has gone the liberal way of Joe Scarborough.
Who here is really surprised about Powell’s endorsement of The One? I half expected it.
ooh... we’re all shaking over another RINO endorsement. Earth-shatterrrrring, I’m sure!
One more guy who’s worried about not being included in DC cocktail parties.
Powell showed his true colors.....BLACK trumps AMERICA everytime.
Probably benefit than continually posting here and preaching to the choir
A black guy endorses another black guy. Who cares?
In politics, one always seeks endorsements. Usually that applies to the folks who ran 3rd, etc. and virtually never someone who never ran for office, notwithstanding a nice resume of military service. That assumes they have, to use a political term “coat tails”. Powell will deliver, at best, the black vote. Wow, that is delivery. Folks, relax, the media will have their tingly feeling up their legs but Powell cannot deliver, politically speaking, the mail.
Sarah Palin should give that answer when she is asked about the Powell endorsement of Obama.

While Powell is trolling for attention, and since he’s such a foreign policy expert and State Department wonk, will someone ask him what he thinks of Obama’s decision to campaign for Raila Odinga in Kenya? Who after he was trounced in the election cried fraud and started genocide against Christians.
I would be interested to hear his answer.
Interesting idea. I tried the same thing in Wikipedia. They just roll right over you there. How long do your posts last in the time blog before they’re deleted?

“CIAs Loss of Top Spies Catastrophic, Says Agency Veteran”
What is he going to do, get more of the Afro-American
population to vote for Obama?
Sure...Hell get Thomas Sowell to vote Democrat.
“As a key reason, Powell said: “I would have difficulty with two more conservative appointments to the Supreme Court, but that's what we'd be looking at in a McCain administration.”
I guess he does not like Clarence Thomas much.
Must have been overjoyed at Kelo Vs New London.
Who needs this MEGA RHINO?
He just shot himself in the foot with Conservatives and
relegated to spend the rest of his days with the
back biting liberals.
Let’s drop the Rev. Wright “frag” in his yard!
...cause when I’m deciding what I think is best for myself, my family, my community, and America...I base it on what Powell thinks (eyes rolling)
Convince the rank and file it is useless-- "resistance is futile", and everyone against "The One" will just roll over and give up.
Well, I for one am NOT buying all this positive crap for Obama, and all the negative for McCain. This isn't over yet, and I hope more people will realize it.
This is a strategy the dems have used for the last four elections, maybe more, and it MUST be ignored and fought!
LOL, I laugh at the so-called “indictment” by Powell to the McCain campaign.
Since everything he said were Hussein's talking points!
