Sarah Palin for VP !! -- McCain is "baggage" on the ticket !! :BY: FReeper, David Osborne

For the record I voted for Sarah Palin in the FR poll, but was disapointed that only 40% of FReepers agreed with me.. I would like to see a new FR poll asking how many FReepers are happy with Sarah Palin.. I bet it would be 90% ---- the same as her approval rating in Alaska.... and soon to be her approval in the USA !!

On another note I wonder if anyone is making bumber stickers that say Vote for Sarah PALIN for VP... because come November that is what I will be doing... John McCain is tha “baggage” that comes with that vote.. and then in 2012 we (THE GOP) can regroup and consider are options at that time.. but for now.. I am fully on board with Sarah Palin as VP ——

now.... here is a line I have not used in a while

TOWARD VICTORY !!!

I am sure Sarah Palin will NOT let that happen .. she is a real fighter — and will NOT go down easy — !!

Hillary, isn't it time for you to "move on" from that Lewinsky thing?

Cheers!

Haven't decided whether Sarah's sticker will replace this one or go above it.

Click the McCain sticker for the category of Politcal Candidates. They added a new template with Sarah and McCain on it. Maybe "Beauty and the ButtHead in '08!"

Precisely. Palin-McCain I could vote for. McCain-Palin I'll never vote for.

Beyond being our official representative at state funerals, her primary responsibility to Gollum will be to fetch his coffee. Hitching her wagon to McCain's star can only bring Palin down.

Conservatives who think that suddenly John McCain will listen to the good advice of someone, even his second in command, when he's demonstrated a history of stupidity and arrogance his entire life, are fools.

I’m getting a Sarah Palin yard sign. Mc Cain won’t be on it. That’s giving him more help than he deserves.

Use logic. If you do NOT vote for McCain, you reduce by (1) the number of votes the GOP ticket receives.

Yep. And in California my one vote won't make a darn bit of difference.

So why would I give it to a man whose policies of Amnesty and Global Warming (among a long list) I violently disagree with?

That would make no sense.

The only beneficiary of that petulant act, is Comrade Obama.

Wrong. It does nothing to help Obama.

“For the record I voted for Sarah Palin in the FR poll,”

I haven’t seen a poll since the FR format changed, where do I find it?

You have two choices. Obama or McCain.
That's funny; last I checked, there will be more than two choices on the Virginia ballots.

Don't make us laugh. How many of those 'other' choices have a realistic chance of winning Virginia's electoral votes, let alone be a factor in the electoral college as a whole?

So there you go, you have two choices. Obama or McCain.

You want to waste your vote on some third party loser who is guaranteed to lose, and if you're in Virginia which IS going to be a highly contested state, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you cut off our Republic's nose to spite your face.

Sarah Palin would tell you to support the ENTIRE ticket, not just the portion you prefer.

You do her a disservice and call her own judgment into question with such antics.

Actually, it just did. I'll explain after you're done.

So why would I give it to a man whose policies of Amnesty and Global Warming (among a long list) I violently disagree with? That would make no sense.

This isn't an election based on one single, or even two seperate issues. You know that.

The only beneficiary of that petulant act, is Comrade Obama.
Wrong. It does nothing to help Obama.

No, the fact is, you've already helped Obama right here on FR with your display of indignation about McCain, and there is always the possibility that you'll be cited by the Obama campaign as an example of how the GOP ticket will be "more divisive" than Obama-Biden, hey: you might even get famous with a mention in an Obama ad, "Conservatives like CalCowGirl have no intention of voting for John McCain, we need a unifier, not a divider, vote Obama-Biden November 4th"

You see CalCowGirl, not only do "loose lips sink ships", but "ugly talk can make others balk".

If this were a war, would you be seen (based on your statements just today in this thread) as helping the enemy (Obama) or helping defeat the enemy?

Only you can answer that question.

So how much is the Obama campaign paying you? Is it by the word, or by the insipid paragraph? If the former, you ought to be cleaning up.

Take a look around sparkplug, McCain has done more to revive and unify the Republican Party in the past 24 hours than our illustrious 'compassionate conservative' President has done in four years.

Sure he has. I am sure his refusal to drill in the arctic is going to unite Republicans. I am sure his refusal to extend the Bush tax cuts is going to unite Republicans. I am sure his insistence on opening the floodgate for illegals is going to unite Republicans. The ONLY thing he has done that will unite Republicans is ask Sarah Palin to be his running mate. republicans is

“Someone PLEASE make a bumber sitcker that says “VOTE Sarah Palin for VP — McCain is Baggage” — or something to that effect..

Thanks !!”

This kind of tripe can cause one’s “FRiends” to lose respect for you.

I would ask that you refrain from this.

McCain has done more to revive and unify the Republican Party in the past 24 hours

The key operative phrase is 24 hours ding-dong.

McCain has demonstrated with his pick of Sarah Palin for his running mate that his positions on issues like (for example) drilling in the arctic are not set in concrete. You think he's going to totally dismiss the input of his Vice President? And so far as tax cuts, McCain will adhere to the economic reality, which is based in an old Reagan maxim: 'if you want more of something, you subsidize it, if you want less of it, you tax it'. McCain knows this, and the last thing he'll want is to see the economy go into a tailspin on January 21st 2009.

Oh, puhleeze!

What world do you live in? One where everyone should remain silent if in an attempt to prop up a scumbag like McCain, no matter how liberal his policies or actions? And when he starts in with his liberal policies as President, should we all just “shut up and take it” as to not weaken the new “leader” of the GOP and the nation? Sorry. Last I looked this is still a free country with free speech and FR is still a conservative forum, not a GOP forum for GOP thugs to silence Conservatives if they don’t get in line like good-little-sheep and kowtow to the every wish of the PTB.

If McCain can’t withstand a little criticism of his policies on an internet forum, how can you expect him to lead the nation?

I wrote this more than an hour before this thread went up....please consider it

“Sarah makes voting for McCain palatable.....and if the liberal prick takes takes lasting heed from the reaction to HER, he MIGHT come to his senses (or at least capitulate) on the many issues with which he has alienated genuine conservatives”

The ONLY way to escape the certain marxist serfdom in store for us that those behind obama and the marxists already entrenched in congress have planned for us is going to require a whole lot more than just the minor feelgood of loudly not voting for obama.
