To each there own. I’m writing in Hunter. Made that decision many months ago.
Just consider yourself lucky that Mccain’s campaign advisers talked him OUT of selecting Lieberman, his real choice, last sunday. No he has a chance to beat Obama.

Palin was a brilliant pick.
It demonstrates to those voters who are in the middle, that McCain will not be a business as usual Republican president.

You’re sure it was McCain who decided to select her?

The 'favor' you're returning is the possibility of President Barack Hussein Obama controlling the levers of executive power in the White House for at least 4 years. I said disrespect, not refuse to vote. Try not to get the two confused, post-Palin.
No need to answer, I've already seen your McCain-screed posts...
That was pre-Palin. I've gone back to sit on the fence for the next two months until I see whether McCain is serious.
Of course, his supporters acting like asses could tip the balance against him.

So they all have to behave the way you think they should, in order for McCain to be honored with your vote?
Screw you.

Youre sure it was McCain who decided to select her? The modern world is too complex for any one man to make any such decision.
Not when he's on the road to the white house.
Nor after he's in the white house.
Whoever becomes the president becomes the front man--the salesman--for the group behind the scenes who make the decisions (included in that group is the president, to whatever degree).
So the president or candidate is really just the brand-name--a symbol.
To: mkjessup
So they all have to behave the way you think they should, in order for McCain to be honored with your vote? Well it might be nice if they stopped crowing about how if you don't vote for McCain...that you're automatically voting for Obama. It's logically false, and McCain's apologist (as well as his mugwhores) are so adamantly about worshiping him that they refuse to tolerate disrespect and dissent.

Use logic. If you do NOT vote for McCain, you reduce by (1) the number of votes the GOP ticket receives.
The only beneficiary of that petulant act, is Comrade Obama.
You can spin it any way you like, but you get two choices in this election, one is Obama, one is McCain.
See how much disrespect and dissent get tolerated in an Obama Administration. Call up WGN in Chicago and ask how that worked out with Stan Kurtz this week, ok?

Well, good luck. My only contribution to McCain, vicarious as it may be, is to ensure that Obama is exposed as the marxist worm that he is.

So you are putting the lie to your statement
"It demonstrates to those voters who are in the middle, that McCain will not be a business as usual Republican president."
Presidential candidates have had VPs forced down their throats before. LBJ and Agnew come immediately to mind.
IMO, with RNC donations going down the crapper due to the GOP choice, this was the only road the GOP could take. Remember, all donations after tomorrow must go to the GOP, not to McCain/Palin. Without this kind of move, the GOP would be as broke as the Rats were after 72.
I do not believe for one minute that either major party (not individual) has the good of the nation at heart.

Yes it is, and I too supported Hunter up to the point, and beyond the point where he ended his primary campaign.
I daresay that Duncan Hunter would encourage anyone who supported him NOT to elect Obama by default, and to vote for John McCain. I'm betting that he is voting for the GOP ticket.
I'll be back later on to survey the carnage, have to TCB for a few hours.

I assume nothing. You have two choices. Obama or McCain.
You go to the polls with the candidate you've got, not necessarily with the candidate you want, to paraphrase Don Rumsfeld.
But by all means, wring your hands and wail away.

You have two choices. Obama or McCain. That's funny; last I checked, there will be more than two choices on the Virginia ballots.
