McCain To Pick Joe Lieberman For VP Slot

Washington—After years and years of taking it in the shorts by moderate Republicans, John McCain has decided to pick Joe Lieberman as his Vice Presidential running mate. This move breaks a long standing history of Republican tradition, and throws the Republican Party into utter chaos.

The move, made after months of pandering to the left, is all part of the McCain strategy to reach out to Democrats and feed his out of control ego. The McCain camp had thought long and hard about selecting Hillary Clinton, but agreed that making that move might be going too far. So, the Lieberman choice was a virtual compromise to his otherwise “maverick” behavior.

“You see,” McCain fired, “this is my election. Bush stole what was rightfully mine. And we’re doing it my way. Understand! It’s all about me!”

Many conservative talk radio hosts have been outspoken, noting that since McCain is no conservative, he should at least pick a conservative for his Vice Presidential candidate. The Lieberman pick is a move that is giving those conservatives a “fickle finger of fate.”

“I can’t believe he did this,” yelled a perturbed Mark Levin. “This loser—and that’s what he is, a loser—could’ve picked a conservative for four years down the road. But he can forget about my vote! You hear me, McCain. You’re as out of control as the Supreme Court!”

“After his Marxist behavior on CEO’s,” quipped Limbaugh, “this really doesn’t surprise me at all. He’s been trying to stick it to the Republican Party since 2000. We are so screwed, and I can’t overstate that enough!”

“The ninth ring of hell is devoted to John McCain,” blasted Ann Coulter. “He is a despicable, spineless jellyfish, and I can’t wait to see him burn!”

“I don’t give a rat’s behind as to what Levin, Limbaugh, Coulter or Free Republic says,” belted a pissed McCain. “I have a spot on my left, lower cheek for all of them to kiss. So bend over and kiss it!”

Despite the comments from many conservatives, it has become obvious that Senator McCain is not a conservative, nor will he ever be, and any hopes beyond this primary season is just that…hope.

I totally agree. Would love to see someone like her, it would perhaps soften my stance toward him (a little....).

I can't believe I'm waiting for his VP pick, but I am. It will tell me just how much drugging up I will have to do to go vote.......:-)

I keep trying to remind myself how much worse Obama is, and to work for conservative candidates for the congress.

Remember what I said about the diminishing line between satire and reality?

Been that way a long while now. Homosexuals taking office, teaching kids...Borders wide open, during war yet..Saudis and others we deal with and call friends, are slowly choking us off. This country killing political helterskelter goes on and on. We have the best in the business right here, in regards to oil production, supply and national security?....

No one saw this coming?

No sale!

Yes, but sometimes one has to check twice to see whether their source is Scrappleface or the New York Times. ;)

Is this really a serious article or merely conjecture?

It’s a satire, though interestingly the Limbaugh quote is word for word.

Jindal is a great guy, but he needs to stay in Louisiana and fix it...and he makes Obama look experienced..

Exactly the way I feel. I would feel awful staying at home, but a conservative partner would sure soften the blow!

I admit I haven’t even sent one penny to his campaign or the RNC...and won’t till I find out who his pick is! If it’s another RINO, he’ll have to live without my $25!! LOL!

This election cycle is the nuttiest I’ve EVER seen!

I’d rather have someone (Jindal) w/less experience but has a heart for the USA. Obama is an empty suit with no redeeming qualities. There is no comparing the two, IMO.

The sad thing is that I can see him doing this.

That's why I wrote the satire. It's plausible.

It doesn’t look good for the VP slot with the candidates McCain is considering.

[... “You see,” McCain fired, “this is my election. Bush stole what was rightfully mine. And we’re doing it my way. Understand! It’s all about me!” ...]

So glad this is satire, otherwise my brain was going to explode!

That's pure luck, and nothing but luck.
