My next door neighbor is the news director for our local PBS station
Orlando’s PBS station has a NEWS DEPARTMENT? What is it... the local CPUSA’s branch? The 2 TAMPA PBS stations doesn’t have a news department.

My mother and sister have similar stories from Ohio in 2004. Gore Vidal talks about it The DUmmies never met a 'Gore' they didn't like...

I still think that "Jared" was a mole while the rest of us were making phone calls, stuffing envelopes, delivering absentee ballots, etc. he was always there reading CNN online or surfing the net. He wouldn't place orders for supplies for weeks at a time. He pissed off voters who came in to volunteer. I locked horns with him many times, but he would never take any kind of significant action personally to help the cause. I wonder who the hell had put him there.I found this picture of Jared on line....

You would probably be the best investigator of this farce! Maybe this “Lorien” is so obscure, and the DU so far off the radar of the police, that the authorities just don’t have a clue this is being bandied about on the internet. Bring it to their attention, by all means....lets see what happens!
I am sure that if a cop made fun of voters then, his name AND face would have been all over the TV news and print news! They never missed an opportunity to show how “put-upon” they were...when the authorities could find NO evidence of voter fraud or intimidation....except by the lefties themselves!

I think our response should be to have them point to any legitimate recount that shows Gore won. I have spend years explaining the 2000 Bush win but nothing gets through. Asking for them to provide which recount declared gore the winner seems to stop them in their tracks because at that point there is only data and not emotion to deal with.

It’s mythology, but mythology that fits a template, i.e. that all Republicans are Bull Connor (never mind that the real Bull Connor was a Democrat), and America is forever stuck in 1961 Mississippi, which is why helpless black people forever need the intercession of white liberals.

I believe her as I too was *intimidated* back in 2000.
- First I had to vote inside ... a SCHOOL! A Jr High no less. And... !SCHOOL! ... was very traumatizing for me.
- To make matters worse, the FASCISTS had American flags ... EVERYWHERE!!!! I was shaking and sweating and really could have used a Valium or four.
- Then, and this is where it gets conspiracy like creepy -- *they* changed our ballot type and didn't tell anyone.
- We went from the old reliable butterfly punch card type to ... sit down... OPTICAL SCANNING machines. Now how do I know if I had that dumb oval filled in correctly????
- And these 'scanners' weer made by, yep, Bushco's henchmen --- DIEBOLD!!!
- Then I was *intimidated* by, not one cop, heck no, but by the entire village Police force !!!! As my polling place was only 934 Ft from the Police Dept. (as the crow flys) AND ... from building corner to corner ONLY 335 Ft apart.
- Finally, to make the Police Intimidation matter WORSE - I had to drive on the same street that the POLICE HAVE TO USE when going to or leaving PD HQ. I could have been stopped any second for God knows what. A brake light out and poof, there goes my right to vote!!!
Oh. And this .. SCHOOL .. I had to vote in, its name is Thomas Jefferson Jr High. THOMAS JEFFERSON for Pete's sake - a SLAVE OWNER!! How insulting can they be, sheesh.
Now I ask, how can anyone vote under those conditions, really.
moonbat mocking --- *off*

I think our response should be to have them point to any legitimate recount that shows Gore wonIf I remember correctly, of all the recounting done by various members of the press after this whole mess came to an end...the only method by which Gore would have received the nomination was the the method suggested by George Bush. And then it was by only 1 vote.
Ironic to be sure, but did the media give it any significant play? Nope.

RS: Bush Like Me - Ten weeks undercover in the grass roots of the Republican Party (Rolling Stone - (Posted Oct 06, 2004) - By MATT TAIBBI)
My cover story was a travesty, an idiotic tissue of halfhearted lies. I said I was a New York City schoolteacher named Tom Hamill, in Orlando to spend a summer with a girlfriend who was from the area. It was the best thing I could come up with to explain my Northern accent, my lack of local connections and all that free time. The story's only saving grace was that the truth was so much more unbelievable. Republicans are paranoid enough to expect a mole from the Kerry campaign, but I was far worse than that -- a dissolute, drug-abusing anarchist who reads the battle diaries of Vietnamese generals on rainy days, roots for Russia at the Olympics and once published an article titled "God Can Suck My D**k." I was, in short, the most offensive individual who could conceivably be planted in the campaign of George W. Bush. I was tempted to feel guilty about this. But in the end I figured that it was only fair. Since John Ashcroft has made it easy for FBI agents to infiltrate anti-war groups, it seemed to make sense that an anti-war journalist should infiltrate Ashcroft's party.

VIDEO -- next time, we need cameras at every polling place Whenever something like this happens, it needs to be taped. And blasted to the media. Isn't this illegal within a certain distance of the voting areas? What will be fun is to have about half of the idiot libs pumping up this idea. Then tell the other half the evil conservative Repugs are going to polls to video tape people so as to intimidate the voters. Also tell them that the video taping group is going to claim to be good liberal progressives. Then watch the fun happen as the one group of liberals start beating up the other group of liberals for video taping polls.

I saw a cop at the DMV in Texas when Motor Voter came into being. I was renewing my license.
He said to some people that had paperwork in their hands that they could also register to vote now and to be sure to check the box that says Democrat. He then patted his hand on his gun (TRUE!) while he laughed.
Did he MEAN that he would shoot anyone who didn’t register as Democrat. Most likely not, but the threat was still made. Made me sick. I didn’t report him but I did tell people about it when I got back to work.
I know what Democrats do.

Exactly, they call it “intimidating” voters when you videotape the polls to see if the same people are going to vote at multiple polling places.

I just sent an e-mail about this to Scott Maxwell of the Orlando Sentinel. I don't know what the reaction will be but I will continue to send out similar e-mails to the Orlando area media. All I want is for someone in the media to check out DUmmie Lorien's charges.
Anybody out there have suggestions as to who else to contact?

This person leaves a lot of clues and ways to find out who it could be. If any of it is the truth.
the director of our downtown HQ "Jared"
Inauguration day he/she marched on Tallahassee ...Days later I could find only one significant story on page 14 of the Orlando Sentinel that even mentioned our march. So he/she has their picture on page 14 of the Orlando Sentinel a few days after the 2001 Inauguration
He/she is/was a teacher (college/Jr. or Community) of a mid 20's student. Some connection to a college here.

I had to stand 20 feet or more from the front door From the Florida Election Laws - link below, page #45, 101.051 (2)
It is unlawful for any person to be in the voting booth with any elector except as provided in subsection (1). A person at a polling place or early voting site, or within 100 feet of the entrance of a polling place or early voting site, may not solicit an elector in an effort.....
This DUmmie was breaking the law in the first place. Florida election laws.
