The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) has added Chinese food to its do not eat list. Citing Chinese foods high caloric and sodium content, a CSPI spokesman warned diners to cut back on its consumption. A plate of General Tsos chicken, for example, has 1,300 calories and 3,200 milligrams of sodium. This is 40 percent more sodium and 50 percent calories than necessary for an average meal.
Our basic rule-of-thumb at the Center is if its tasty its nasty, said Bonnie Liebman, nutrition director of CSPI. If you insist on eating at a Chinese restaurant we recommend you skimp on the meat and skip the sauces. Try a plate of plain brown rice and a little tofu. Its on the unpalatable side, but thats good. You wont be tempted to overeat.
CSPIs condemnation of Chinese food follows earlier scathing reviews of Italian and Mexican restaurants. Were not singling out any ethnic food, Liebman said. Theyre probably all bad. We just havent gotten around to all of them yet.

If you follow their dietary regimen, you won't live longer, it just seem that way.
Especially Schezuan, Hunan, Mongolian, and Cantonese food.
Have the 1.3 billion people of China been informed yet?
Well, guess I'll be eating wheat germ for the rest of my life.
You go now!
Scrappleface?
Are they banning my General Tso's chicken? egg foo young? Say it ain't so!!!!
D@mn it! no matter what I eat, if it's 10lbs of Chinese food a day, 10 lbs. of tofu a day, or 10 lbs. of beef fat a day with a six pack of beer and couple of margarita's OR just a slice of bread and a glass of water my cholesterol just stays the same and my 6'2" frame hovers around 200lbs.
I love stating the truth at 50 just to feel good./snicker
Eat your hearts out all. (just don't eat too much)
Life can be frustrating..../snicker
And if it's nasty, it's tasty!
What's the point?
Oh, but eat this, and live to 101. However, I have opted out of living a long life. Enjoy.
I ate what was soup and although I'm not much of a soup eater it was pretty good.
Someone sat next to us during the meal that spoke English too and I asked them what it was that I ordered that tasted so good.
"Blood clot soup"....
Sometimes it is just better to not know.
Do these MORONS ever think (stupid question) that maybe I WANT to have one meal that is 40% larger than average, and two smaller meals during my day? Think of it like I'm using my "calorie credits" and "sodium credits" from my Special K breakfast and apple lunch. Even Al Gore would approve.
Oh STFU and go home to your hypoallergenic apartment and have a bowl of tofu, Bonnie. Be careful you don't choke.
Eat all you want guilt free!!!
