Hollywood film-maker Oliver Stone shocked the audience at the British Comedy Awards with a bad-taste gag about the Suffolk murders.
The director of 'Platoon' and 'Born On The Fourth Of July' was attending the ceremony to present the best comedy film prize to Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park.
Taking the stage, he quipped: "It's great to be back in England. I feel like Jack The Ripper days are back. Nothing ever changes here."
But his attempt at comedy was met with jeers and gasps of horror from the celebrity audience.
Realising his joke had bombed, Stone sneered: "You're a lovely crowd."
One audience member said: "If he was trying to be funny, then he failed.
"To make a joke like that when five young women have been murdered and the killer is still on the loose was in unbelievably bad taste."
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." -Manuel II Paleologus
They are behaving as if there will never be any payback...something the Republicans did only after being office a number of years. These idjits haven't even take control and they're doing the End Zone In Your Face Dance already.

Indeed. If they invited a pig on stage, would they be aghast if it said "Oink"? What were they expecting from the likes of Oliver Stone?
The audience was silent for the reason that you suggest, but also because the joke was poorly constructed and NOT funny (no matter the feelings about abortion).
I thought it was funny. Nice to see that the Poms still can't take a joke from us Yanks.
I remember Joan Rivers as always being the perfect excuse to change the channel.
"can we tawwwwwkkk?!"
I didn't much care for her either.
"I tell ya when I was a kid, all I knew was rejection. My yo-yo, it never came back!
Im not a sexy guy. I went to a hooker. I dropped my pants. She dropped her price.
My wife and I were happy for twenty years. Then we met.
I could tell that my parents hated me. My bath toys were a toaster and a radio.
I was such an ugly kid ... when I played in the sandbox the cat kept covering me up.
I went to the doctor because I'd swallowed a bottle of sleeping pills. My doctor told me to have a few drinks and get some rest."
No, not the US, just Stone.
Odd, isn't it? What have they against the British?
This is SOP for the left. First they pass laws making their citizenry totally helpless against assault -- denying them firearms ownership and right-to-carry, attempting to outlaw even kitchen knives and sending to prison those who defend themselves against home invasion. Murderers are coddled, given light sentences, counseling and never the execution they merit.
Predictably, violent criminals now see a golden opportunity to take whatever they want and kill whomever they please with little or no risk. Just as predictably, these 5 girls wind up dead. And how does the left respond to this sorry state of affairs that they themselves created? They respond with exaggerated moral indignation that anybody could crack a joke about these five hapless victims, the same ones that they themselves set up for the slaughter!
This has caused me great stress and pain. I'm calling a lawyer.
No.
This was the seventies. People didn't do jokes about crap like that back then. Not on the Carson show anyway.
True. I remember a Mexican comedian who got the bum's rush after 10 seconds into his bathroom humor routine. Willing to bet is was the shortest appearance of any comedian on the Carson Show.
In the mean time, "Sorry Fellahs"... We can't control them as our law prevents us from taking "reasonable measures" with these idiots.
We can't even convince Alex Baldwin to move to France after he promised us he'd leave. *sigh*
I read the other day that they seem to have another "Jack the Ripper" guy going after hookers. seriously. bad timing on Stone's part...
What were they expecting from the likes of Oliver Stone?
That's right.
You don't think Stone pays attention to the news, do you?
