DURHAM - The father of the accuser in the rape case involving Duke University lacrosse players said his daughter was raped with a broomstick during a party last month, and that explains defense lawyers' claims that no DNA from players was found on her.
The woman's father, appearing on MSNBC's "Rita Cosby Live & Direct" Tuesday night, said his daughter told him that when three team members raped and sodomized her, they also used a broom.

Are there reports that medical evidence shows she has injuries consistent with rape? I know she was bruised up but that was all I'd heard.
The thing is, this wasn't mentioned before because they didn't know that DNA was going to enter into it(weren't thinking you know). They had to come up with a cover story to explain the lack of DNA, it is pretty obvious that is what is going on.
IMHO, the DA should be pursuing two crimes here--potential rape and potential false rape accusation, and he should be pursuing both with equal gusto.
I suppose it is possible, but my first thought is: "Bunch of extremely horny, drunk college athletes hire a stripper. They get so horny that they ... go get a broomstick but don't, themselves, 'get busy?'" Seems odd. Possible (like, maybe they got "too drunk to manage"), but odd.
Oh come on!!!!!!!! Why would these guys do that. I thought this was about SEX..intercourse...how when these young men get off on using a broom stick?

Lord knows, I have seen my share of what horny drunk young men can do (in retrospect!!!). However, especially at that age, you are more interested in getting laid than doing something THAT ugly.
Yes. Someone smells $$$$ from them rich white boys, IMHO. Make it racial and degradation, the sky is the limit. Push for a big bucks settlement. A girl has to make a living?
Being raped by a broom is something that she would have known from the start so why did they do DNA analysis claiming that the test would implicate the guys?....she would have known that no such DNA would be found.....this sounds like a case of 'make the story match the evidence'.
Like these guys would even OWN a broomstick!

There was no DNA yet to be reported on. So if they raped her, there'd be SOME DNA evidence. A broom won't remove it ALL.
You can't have it both ways.
