Sorry for the vanity...
Just asking for prayer for my family, especially my Dad and his two sisters. We received word today, about half an hour ago, that my Great Uncle Howard had died in Tennessee from a brief illness. He was 88 years old and a veteran of World War II.
Thank you.

Joining your FReeper family in tearfully sharing your loss, yet celebrating Heaven's Joy ...
When I shall come to the end of my way,
When I shall rest at the close of life's day,
When "Welcome home" I shall hear Jesus say,
O that will be sunrise for me ...
When in His beauty I see the great King,
Join with the ransomed His praises to sing,
When I shall join them my tributes to bring,
O that will be sunrise for me ...
When life is over and daylight is passed,
In heaven's harbor my anchor is cast,
When I see Jesus my Savior at last,
O that will be sunrise for me ...
Sunrise tomorrow
Sunrise tomorrow
Sunrise in glory is waiting for me;
Sunrise tomorrow
Sunrise tomorrow
Sunrise with Jesus for eternity.
Sunrise ... W.C.Poole/B.D.Ackley

I have never met Mike but I live a short distance from his
uncle.
Howard was a remarkable man, worked all of his life and was a dedicated Christian. At 88 he was still very active in the church. The greatest thing I will always remember about Howard
was his very friendly hello to everyone he met. I will always remember Howard from my child hood at the local Christian Church, he was as dedicated then as he was prior to his death.
Our community will miss Howard, he was just a magnificent person
to have know.
