Two things:
1) Congratulations to the school for standing on solid, moral, principle.
2) A BS article in that the liberal writer doesn't understand that the child can not have two parents of the same sex. The writer must understand that the child would not have been born with "parents" such as this.
We must remember to lover the sinner (all of us) but not endorse and/or condone the sin...
Jesus said that he who divorces for any reason other than adultery has sinned.
But the key difference you secularists pretend not to see is what you have already been told.
It is one thing to sin. It is a whole other thing entirely to set up a rival good to God's. It is one thing to sin and repent. It is a whole other thing entirely to say that evil is good.
Homosexuals are proclaiming that God's definition of wrong is to be ignored. It is not just sin. It is openly defiant rebellion against God. To tolerate sodomy is to say that God's definition of "abomination" is to be ignored and political correctness carries more weight than God's laws.
If you were familiar with scripture, you would know that when the scribes pressed him on this he said that the healthy do not need doctors. The sick do. Jesus didn't eat with tax collectors and prostitutes to affirm their "lifestyle". He offered them repentance and a way out. Two deviants living together for 22 years are not in the least interested in repentance or a way out.
I have mixed feelings about this. Is it so wrong for parents, through a school, to express a desire to live and go to school in an environment where they are not exposed to today's moral relativism?
But sodomy IS moral relativism. Sodomy is the cutting edge of the cultural left.
Yep. I agree. It's wrong. And stupid.
Of course, as a private institution they have the right to do it, but they didn't HAVE to do it. Instead, they should have asked WWJD.
I agree with you on this, and to be honest it would probably be a good thing for the girl to be exposed to this type of setting. If anything the school should look at this as a challenge to help her understand their ways, the girls "parents" obviously didn't mind or they never would have enrolled her in the first place.
You're arguing with fools and bigots.
Wouldn't be the first time!
You need to spend your time more profitably. Try banging your head against the wall instead.
LOL! I am spending my time very productively, thank you. I'm procrastinating.
I can't believe I'm reading this.
If you don't agree with Paul, then we surely are of a different "religion"...
Paul was a misogynist. I find it hard to believe that Jesus would have approved of everything Paul wrote.
I'm good at procrastinating too.
Now you've gone and done it! I already disengaged from page. I didn't think I needed to show tolerance. ;)
Oops. Sorry. I didn't read the entire thread. I'm lazy. I just found out about this today, thanks to mhking's ping.
No prob. It's worth a read. That is, if you want to procrastinate!
The girl did nothing wrong. And to punish her for some percieved wrong of her mother is just plain wrong.-mhking
You may find it hard to believe, but their are a few others that don't share your opinion. I cite, in particular, the group of early Christians that met together, and prayed, to determine what letters should be gathered to form a New Testament. Paul was chosen SPECIFICALLY by Jesus. He came to Saul, a Jew, and it changed the man so much, that he became known as Paul.
star, your assertions sound like some member of the NAG crowd, or Justice Ginsberg. There is nothing wrong with being exclusionary. It was Paul that said it, in response to a man sleeping with his daughter-in-law. He told them to throw the man out, so he might be saved, in the end. The church can not allow the child, without tacitly approving of their MOMS lifestyle. These women were unmarried, and had three children, somehow. Isn't it a bit curious that they only had girls around?
I'm sure they were all misogynists, as well, as all of the other various Christian groups gathered throughout the world. /s
Don't you believe the Bible is a Testament to Christ? Do you believe the church should just allow everyone to come into the church, be welcomed, and not be judged on their extra-curricular activities? I wouldn't want them to be perverting my fellowship. Yes, I said pervert. They are raising the girls to follow after their pattern. That started the situation in the first place, that got her removed. Read the WHOLE story.
I do not associate with known homosexuals. Does that mean that I won't talk to them? No. It means they are outside my circle of friends. I believe they are perversions of God's ideals, in the worst way. They wish to continue in their sin, while seeking the approval of others. Scripture tells us to flee from sin.
Show me some Scripture to back up your opinions. Your FEELINGS are only good for theater! Just ask a Democrat!
Jesus chose Paul to lead the church. Some believe it was Peter who was in charge, but he denied Jesus. They can ignore that, but Paul became the authority to the early church, and its guide. He gave admonishment, and encouragement, as needed. He is Saint Paul, in the RC Church, he is my brother Paul, to me. He convinced me that I am a saint, as well...
Try learning the Scriptures before you decide you don't feel good about something. It's not very "politically correct", in its writings. But, it's the Word of God.
I totally agree with you and was shocked by the comments on this thread.
She's just a kid...
Should she be held responsible for her idiot parents?
Parents can be responsible for their kids - kids can't be responsible for their parents!
Homosexual Agenda Ping.
Lotta pings to go, I'll try to only ping out "important" articles or ones with info/heavy discussion on the thread.
Freepmail me AND DirtyHarryY2K if you want on/off this pinglist.
(Note: I will be verrrry busy for the next few weeks, so the pinging may slow down a little. Some of you will appreciate that!!!)
Hmmm, you talking about several of the apostles?
And how is allowing the little girl to stay in school "affirming their lifestyle"? Seems to me it is the only chance they would have counsel them and the little girl. You know, save a soul or two.
