The children will see consistency. They don't need to see tolerance.

I can't believe I'm reading this.

If you don't agree with Paul, then we surely are of a different "religion"...

Paul was a misogynist. I find it hard to believe that Jesus would have approved of everything Paul wrote.

Now you've gone and done it! I already disengaged from page. I didn't think I needed to show tolerance. ;)

The girl did nothing wrong. And to punish her for some percieved wrong of her mother is just plain wrong.-mhking

You may find it hard to believe, but their are a few others that don't share your opinion. I cite, in particular, the group of early Christians that met together, and prayed, to determine what letters should be gathered to form a New Testament. Paul was chosen SPECIFICALLY by Jesus. He came to Saul, a Jew, and it changed the man so much, that he became known as Paul.

star, your assertions sound like some member of the NAG crowd, or Justice Ginsberg. There is nothing wrong with being exclusionary. It was Paul that said it, in response to a man sleeping with his daughter-in-law. He told them to throw the man out, so he might be saved, in the end. The church can not allow the child, without tacitly approving of their MOMS lifestyle. These women were unmarried, and had three children, somehow. Isn't it a bit curious that they only had girls around?

I'm sure they were all misogynists, as well, as all of the other various Christian groups gathered throughout the world. /s

Don't you believe the Bible is a Testament to Christ? Do you believe the church should just allow everyone to come into the church, be welcomed, and not be judged on their extra-curricular activities? I wouldn't want them to be perverting my fellowship. Yes, I said pervert. They are raising the girls to follow after their pattern. That started the situation in the first place, that got her removed. Read the WHOLE story.

I do not associate with known homosexuals. Does that mean that I won't talk to them? No. It means they are outside my circle of friends. I believe they are perversions of God's ideals, in the worst way. They wish to continue in their sin, while seeking the approval of others. Scripture tells us to flee from sin.

Show me some Scripture to back up your opinions. Your FEELINGS are only good for theater! Just ask a Democrat!

Jesus chose Paul to lead the church. Some believe it was Peter who was in charge, but he denied Jesus. They can ignore that, but Paul became the authority to the early church, and its guide. He gave admonishment, and encouragement, as needed. He is Saint Paul, in the RC Church, he is my brother Paul, to me. He convinced me that I am a saint, as well...

Try learning the Scriptures before you decide you don't feel good about something. It's not very "politically correct", in its writings. But, it's the Word of God.
