Two things:
1) Congratulations to the school for standing on solid, moral, principle.
2) A BS article in that the liberal writer doesn't understand that the child can not have two parents of the same sex. The writer must understand that the child would not have been born with "parents" such as this.
We must remember to lover the sinner (all of us) but not endorse and/or condone the sin...
OOOOOOOOOooooo, all that self-righteous wounded victimhood, for a worldy wise (as I learned later on in this thread)
TWENTY ONE YEAR OLD!!!! I am HUMBLED, indeed!
They didn't obey the rules of the school in the first place.
You put that very well. Kudos, Kahonek.
The two s are not fighting the dismissal. Better behavior than I have seen from hetero parents at my kids' school who have been expelled.
Wow, greatest non-rebuttal rebuttal ever.
A lot of Catholic schools in Philadelphia have many students from single mom homes that are not Catholic. They provide a place of refuge from both the neighborhood and the public schools; certainly a Christian calling. The schools realize that they may turn a few kids to Christ, too.
What about abuse? Is that an allowable reason for divorce?
So?
Really, So?
Theu knew beforehand their lifestyle was against the rules the school was run by, and they chose to ignore those rules.
By ignoring the rules of the school they decided they were better then the school.
The school decided they weren't.
Catholic schools don't make such rules about who might attend.
You are apparently too young to understand that there is no such thing as a "rebuttal"---there is just the futile pushing from one side on another, that only serves to push each one further into his own position. I have NO desire to push you any further into your already overwrought righteous excess. Life is too short.
Umm...because it's a private school and they don't have a case? Because it's obvious to those who aren't pro-sodomy cheerleaders that their sick homosexual political agenda involving their minor child has been exposed? Or maybe it's just the pro-homosexual KoolAid drinkers short on common sense who can't see the obvious? You pick.
About the only think being exposed here is the school's hypocritical, selective morality.
NO...hypocrisy means some people preach one thing and do another. Your inane example of divorce has zero relevance because the "divorcees" you belittle aren't promoting divorce as an acceptable alliterative lifestyle which they affirm and relive everyday. Divorce is a single mistake one can ask forgiveness for, homosexuality on the other hand is perpetual and repeats the same mistakes everyday...can you see a difference Skippy? Know any "divorcees" who want to get divorced everyday and claim it's just "who they are", they were "born that way"?
How odd you are on the pro-sodomy side once again?
I'm sure one can make the same claim from "parents" who are into bestiality as well...provided their decorum was equally as conciliatory as the lesbians of course.
Pretty sad when the best argument you can come up with is the other person's age.
"whatever....."
So does Matthew outrank Mark?
According to Jesus, no.
Nonsense. According to Jesus those who divorce and remarry are committing adultery. Those who do so are living an adulterous lifestyle and want the rest of us to accept their sin as acceptable. The school wants us to believe that they follow the teachings of the Bible, but they apparently have no problems accepting some forms of sin while condemning others. That is hypocrisy. Why not be open about it. Their problem is with homosexuality and not sin.
I have no problem with the school's right to kick out anyone they want.
Really? I'm not being snide. I would have to stay with a man who abuses me or risk damnation?
What is truly mean spirited is to tear down someone because of their strong Christian faith. This seems to apply well to many on this thread... (as they claim compassion!)
The Episcopal church has done a great job of stopping the "mean spirited" Christians. Now they have an adulterer, actively homosexual, bishop. They left the Christian faith (at least they actively preach/teach against it) because the "mean spirited" people were beaten down and stifled.
I have not been rude to anyone on this thread.
I stand by a private school's right to expel anyone they chose. But I also stand by my opinion that it harms a girl that needs help.
