Actually, late today Dickie Durbin issued a lame-*ss "apology." He said he was sorry that anyone was upset because they "misunderstood" what he was saying. There wasn't any subtlety or metaphor, however, in what Durbin said. So that "apology" will not stop the onslaught.

As usual, the DUmmies have cheerfully thrown themselves in front of a political juggernaut and will shortly be crushed under its wheels. When a DUmmie gets politically crushed, does he have a slight doubt like Wile E. Coyote's sign that says, "Why am I doing this?"

Nah. DUmmies don't have the introspection of a rather dim cartoon character.

Today the DUmmies are NOT funny. I'm angry and I'm tired of the silence of the majority of Republican senators. I've emailed Inhofe telling him I must conclude he agrees with Durbin since he's made no comment rebuking him. I also told him Coburn would have my support and asked him if he wanted mine.

I saw too many of my friends and classmates injured or killed in Viet Nam because our government didn't give them the support they needed and deserved. I'm older now and I've found my voice. I refuse to let it happen again.

we toured the cafateria and on the counter being stocked for the school year to begin was a box of "meat"
