Please, Senator Clinton, call them "Freedom Fighters"...

They're not "Iraqi insurgents," they're citizens fighting for their home and country. They're "Freedom Fighters."

13. frankly...

Edited on Sun Feb-20-05 09:51 AM by LinuxInsurgent

i could give a rat's ass about the American electorate...my sympathies lie with the people of the world, who have to withstand the idiocy of the American public and the governments/militaries they allow to exist.

And yes, Iraqi insurgents are freedom fighters...in so far that they fight for freedom FROM the U.S. occupation...after they win the struggle (and they will, time is on their side), then we have to analyze what the insurgent leaders and cadres do in Iraq society. They may be freedom fighters NOW..but may revert to becoming oppressive Baathists later.

Still..that's an issue that does not concern us...our concern is to get those U.S. troops OUT of Iraq.

"our concern is to get those U.S. troops OUT of Iraq"

Then you stand in agreement with Syria, Iran, and North Korea. You stand with our enemies. Perhaps its time for YOU to get OUT of the US?

According to my adopted soldier who is in Mosul, "Many of the terrorist that attack US forces and other Iraqis are more often than not, criminals who direct their efforts into extorting money and property from other Iraqis as much as they attack US soldiers."

So the insurgents are not even insurgents, let alone freedom fighters, they are merely criminals and thugs, like Saddam and his sons were.

Hitlery wants to be president so bad that she said tonight that setting a timetable for withdrawing U.S. troops is a "mistake."

Her reasons? Same ones our beloved Dubya has been telling us for the last year.

"... insurgent leaders and cadres..."

Hmmm, I seem to recall another group that used the word "cadres" a lot. It seems that it was a group of folks who really fancied the colour red and the Internationale.

P.S. I seem to remember that Jim doesn't want us using up bandwidth posting crap from DU.

Don't be surprised if this thread is pulled soon.

Aside from the fact that war brings the worst out of men. Saddam did let out over 100,000 criminals from the prisons prior to the invasion. They weren't Saddam defenders. They just setup criminal underworlds, profiting off the turmoil of war.

Most of the INSURGENTS aren't even Iraqi.

I forget. How many American church services did George Washington blow up?

Please, Senator Clinton, call them "Freedom Fighters"... They're not "Iraqi insurgents," they're citizens fighting for their home and country. They're "Freedom Fighters." How many problems can you spot?

1. Iraqi insurgents aren't for the most part Iraqi.
2. Hillary voter for the war, even if it was just a transparent attempt to appear presidential.
3. They fighting for neither their home nor their country.
4. Freedom for Iraq has already been won and they have Iraqi democratically elected leaders will soon be in place where almost 60 percent of the Iraqi people voted.
5. Even calling them Iraqi insurgence is an injustice, they are really terrorists who are killing Iraqis

I hate to dignify such idiocy with a response, but this is a great example of the alternate reality in which those morons exist.

Just unreal.....

Post #50:

50. And you don't win verbal wars

by calling people who are murdering American soldiers and innocent Iraqis "freedom fighters." These people would like to reinstall a theocratic dictatorship that would not be remotely free. I'm sorry if I sound like Bush, but they really are opponents of democracy. And they are killing Iraqis who would like to be part of the new Iraqi Army.

...1...2...3...LOUSY FREEPER TROLL!

If the terrorists in Iraq are "freedom fighters", then who are these people?...

It takes a great deal of loathing of democracy to affix the label "freedom fighter" to those who are trying to murder the people in these pictures.

The people posting over at DU are some of the DUmmest idiots ever to be assembled around a bulletin board. Seriously. They're DUmb. Nothing more to it really. Minority Baathist fighting to regain power over the majority are "Freedom Fighters"? As for Zarqawi, he already clearly stated himself that he hates democracy. What more must a terrorist DO before a DUmmy believes that he does NOT like democracy?

Idiots, all of them.
