It is becoming self-evident that the American left is terrified at the prospect of Clarence Thomas becoming Chief Justice of The United States. Senator Harry Reid launched a vicious and wholly unsupported denunciation of the level of writing of Justice Thomas's opinions, terming them an "embarrassment." Today, The Los Angeles Times resorts to doubletalk almost as contemptible as the Senate Minority Leader's race-tinged slur.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has accepted tens of thousands of dollars worth of gifts since joining the high court, including $1,200 worth of tires, valuable historical items and a $5,000 personal check to help pay a relative's education expenses.

The real reason all these slimey media smear jobs are coming out about Clarence Thomas all of a sudden - same way they did back in the early 1990s - is that liberals are racist scumbags and they can't stand the idea of a black man as chief justice of the supreme court. All their truisms about racism and injustice will come to a screeching halt. So in their desperation, they are screaming, and smearing. They are that despicable.

The real racists are those on the left who scam the black people for votes and money by pretending the opposite is true. One would think they would realize this as they see the blatant bigotry coming out about Thomas, Condi, and Powell while the real scam artist Jessie Jackson is revered.

I disagree. The one thing worse to the Lefties than a black man, is a conservative black female. Just any ethnic minority with conservative values. The race baiting sucks and degenerates debate anyway. Conservatives can show all the cards, Liberals can't. They say that RACE comes first and foremost, but when push comes to shove...they'll push and shove the trophy over the cliff to save Rat values.

My blood boiled with Andrea Mitchell's condescending comment that the president hasn't picked the "best and brightest" for his cabinet. Other than Norm Mineta, I think his cabinet has been pretty outstanding. Even though I disagree philosophically with Powell, he's not stupid! The left will go into major meltdown if there is a Chief Justice Thomas.

The left fears that if Thomas becomes Chief Justice, more and more prominent blacks become high rank public officials by being conservatives... Sooner or later, the new generation of blacks will crack their monolith way of voting...

What the left can`t stand is that history would record the first black Chief Justice as a conservative Republican not a democrat.
