Ireland’s anti-Israel actions will not go unanswered - opinion

Relations between Israel and Ireland have been marked over the years by ongoing tension, harsh criticism from Dublin, and a growing sense of alienation. This has culminated in the recent decision of Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar to shutter Israel’s embassy in Ireland — a rare move that underscores a deep crisis in the diplomatic relations between the two countries.

This decision does not stand in a vacuum. It stems from Ireland’s longstanding antisemitic and anti-Israel policies, which include legislation supporting the Palestinian struggle and harsh statements against Israel by Irish politicians. […]

Dublin views the Palestinian struggle for “liberation” as similar to Ireland’s historical fight for independence from British rule. This solidarity with the Palestinians has become a central driver of Ireland’s policies toward Israel, leading to the adoption of one-sided stances against the Jewish state.

Ireland sees itself as a “justice warrior” and a leader in the field of human rights. It uses this position to support the Palestinians while harshly criticizing Israel. This is evident in parliamentary resolutions, speeches on the international stage, and specific legislation targeting Israel.[…]

After the Hamas-perpetrated massacre on October 7, in which over 1,000 Israeli civilians were murdered and many others kidnapped, the Irish government condemned the violence and “expressed deep concern over the escalation in the region.” Irish prime minister Leo Varadkar and Foreign Minister Micheal Martin issued statements expressing sorrow over the loss of life and calling for a halt to the violence. However, their condemnation was focused on demands for a ceasefire and humanitarian concerns in Gaza, without explicitly and directly condemning Hamas’s actions or recognizing them as acts of terror. This stance from Ireland drew criticism from Israeli officials, who expected an unequivocal condemnation of Hamas’s atrocities. …

The left is going insane and they will suffer the consequences that they usually do.

Most of Ireland was pro-Axis during WW2. In 1945, both the Irish president and prime minister sent their condolences to the German ambassador in Dublin following Hitler's death.

I think of De Valera at the German embassy signing the condolence book for Hitler in April 1945. The same man behind the Irish Civil War and the killing of Michael Collins. Never before been so glad that my ancestors had the guts to get on that boat.

(a “justice warrior”)

I worked with those types (a few) at the church organization

Partial-preterists and they’ll betray you in a heartbeat if you quote the Bible in front of them or if you’re going through a rough time (I can count 5 right off the top of my head)

They make me embarrassed to say not only am I Irish, but through my father’s family I am DNA related to Michael Collins who must be spinning in his grave. Michael Collins didn’t give his life so skunks like these people could throw away all that was gained 100 years ago.

And the sooner they start suffering the consequences of their actions the better.

There was probably a reason England shat all over the Irish and tried to starve them out of existence. They seem to cause problems and the Biden Crime Family is a perfect example of being a mushroom rising out of Irish rot.

Fixed it:
Most of Ireland was pro-AxisNazi during WW2.

Has there ever been a time in Ireland's history where they did not lose ?

Importing Islamic madness means you eventually export its madness upon others. Some Irish have had enough, they have been burning down new immigration construction sites and destroying the equipment being used to build them.

Coming from a strong Irish ancestry I strongly disagree and I can honestly say I support Israel 10,0000%. I hope they wipe out the middle east and make a massive desert resort for christians and Jews.

BINGO

Who gives a flying fig about what Ireland thinks of Israel. Does anyone care what Slovenia thinks about the disputed area of Kashmir? Or what do the Burmese think of the ongoing Insurgency in Cabo Delgado?

Ireland got lots of their own problems. They are self destructing and need to fix themselves first.
